I believe Microsoft designates anyone under 21 years old as a child's account. If your parents have a Live account they can change your permissions by starting from the dashboard and doing the following:
1. On the My Xbox row, scroll to the right
2. Select Family Settings
3. Select the Avatar of the child account you wish to modify
4. Scroll right twice to the Online Safety tab and select Change Settings
5. Select Customize

Refer your parents or person in charge of the account to this and they should be able to change the downloading permissions.

Door opens by itself

Will likely need a little more info. I am presuming this is the wireless version since it's a Digi Code. However, my first thought is that the problem is not necessarily with the keypad. Most likely could be a programming issue. Have you tried to clear the memory on the Logic board on the Garage door opener and then re-program all of the openers, including the keypad?
Some Logic boards have a dedicated slot for one wireless Keypad that is made specifically for that brand of opener.
A helpful hint: When programming the keypad, have another person help you. Have them push the program button according to the programming instructions for your GDO Make.(Garage Door Opener)
Then you key in the required sequence for programming your keypad immediately after the programming button has been pressed. This reduces the amount of time the logic board wireless memory is in the learn state.
Sometimes stray radio transmissions operating at or near your openers frequency can inadvertantly be programmed into your openers logic board. Especially if there are other same manufacturers GDO units wireless remote transmitters in use within close proximity operating on the same frequency.
Another possible cause is in your hard-wired wall control button or wiring to it. There could be a short in the contacts causing the opener to operate, or a short in the wire to the wall control button. I've run into smashed wires that have had the outer insulation pierced and the metal staple shorts across both wires. (this is not good for the logic board, as it can damage sensitive circuitry on it. Causing more Costly repairs)
One way to isolate the issue is note when this occurs. Is it always the same time every day? Or is it completely random?
I hope these possible solutions help MASTER_TECH1

None of my wireless XBox 360 controlers will connect to to my XBox 360. I have tried replacing batteries, syncing it with the system, turning my system off then on again, removing any obstructions near the...

If the wireless controllers won't connect under any circumstances even with the Charge-and-Play Cable then you most likely have a problem with a board inside your 360, i think it's like the RF board or something, mind you, the C-P cord only forces through an electrical charge and does not force the controller and console to connect, it just works when your batteries are low, in the event that your console is faulty, you can purchase RF boards and replace them yourself (voids the warranty but takes 20 minutes) or send it into XBox HQ (gives you more warranty but takes like 6 months)

I changed the dvd drive in my xbox 360 with the same model. Now when I put in a game it says to put it in a 360 drive. What do I do to fix this?

theres your problem you cannot just change an xbox 360 cd drive they have these stupid codes that are paired to the console so the cd drive cannot be changed with ease you need to do some flash thing that removes the code from the old 1 and then u need an extrator and all this other junk, but you say you got the exact same model? if it is identical your in luck i have a trick to get around the id codes, get the 2 drives in front of you and take the metal casing off both sides of both drives, now you will see a flat chip board on the bottom that covers nearly half the drive it has about 4-5 ribbon cables attached to it, remove the chip board (known as the logic board in cd drives) from both drives (its just 1 little clip near the edge of the board) now inspect the 1 that doesnt work and see if there is any noticable damage if not, simply swap the logic boards so put the old 1 in the new one that should fix your problem as the codes are contained within the logic boards so by putting the old board in the new one u trick the console into thinking it has the correct 1 hope that helped

Parental control is blocking me from downloading content.

HI,

If you did not create a Live account that is not over 18 years old, it is unfortunately impossible to COMPLETELY remove the parental controls on the Xbox, however, it is possible to almost completely turn them off. If you have access to the 'parent' account of the child's account on the Xbox 360 and you have your own Xbox Live Gamertag, you can login using your Windows Live account on Xbox.com and change parental control settings.

If the "Child" account has reached the age of 18, then you need to sign into the "Parent" account and follow these steps to convert the account to an "Adult" account:

  • Go to My Xbox, and open your profile.
  • Select Manage Account.
  • Select Promote Child Account.
  • Follow the required steps.

If the "Child" account is NOT atleast 18 years old then this is how to modify the Parental Control settings (Note: You can NOT completely disable Parental Controls, games that have ratings above the neccesary age can NOT be downloaded on the "Child"account):

  • Sign in using the "Child" account's Live email address and password.
  • Click on the gamertag in the upper right hand corner of the site.
  • Click the Manage Profile button.
  • Under the Gamer Profile heading, choose "Family Settings".
  • It will now ask to sign in as the "Parent" account.
  • After signing in, you can change the Parental Control limitations.
  • When done, click the save button at the bottom of the page.
Thanks.

Xbox 360 headset

is it the wireless headset or the wired one? if its the wired one make sure it isnt muted and all of that. if it isnt then go to the xbox 360 dashboard and go to the far right into system settings then click parental controls and see if voice chat is restriced and change settings in accordance with your problem. if you have the wireless headset hold down the little button by the 1234 lights until they all staryt blinking in order then hold the same button on your 360 console until the lights begin to spin. after that they should link up and work. If you made your account a child account then its more then likely your parentla controls blocking your communications.
