Press the Fn-F10 combination to deactivate the overlay keyboard (numerical pad). The Fn key is the one to the right of the Left CTRL key.

The Mk6 spj w/pss has an overlay with buttons over the sensors. The functionality is very much like a microwave keypad. These buttons go bad over time and you can replace the overlay for under $20. When you press the buttons they contact some inductive sensors on a circuit board underneath which induces a current flow in the sensor. The pads flatten out over time and dirt, oil and food can accumulate under the pads between the pad and sensor. This causes decreased sensitivity and poor function of the buttons. You may be able to carefully remove the overlay and clean it and the underlying circuit board with spray electronic cleaner. This works for awhile, but I usually just replace the overlay. The new overlay comes with a new layer of adhesive. Hope this helps.

This error code on a oven indicates a keypad short on the Electronic Range Control (ERC) board. This is the clock/timer on the operator console. The recommended fix is to replace the ERC. You can generally find replacement parts at these websites:

Replacing an ERC is not a difficult repair and can be accomplished by the average do-it-your self offer. If you decide to order the part and wish to repair this on your own, follow these steps:
1. UNPLUG the range. Dangerous voltage is still present inside even with the range turned off.
2. Pull the range away from the wall and turn the unit around so you can access the rear panel.
3. Remove the screws on the back of the operator console.
4. Carefully disconnect the connector plugs to the ERC. Take note of how they are connected, so that you can reinstall them correctly.
NOTE: The connectors are usually color coded with the colors printed on the circuit board. However, if the colors are not printed on the board, write them down. (A digital camera also comes in real handy for this).
5. With the connectors removed, remove the mounting screws to the ERC and the assembly will come out.
NOTE: Most replacement ERC boards do not come with the overlay. This is the plastic pre-printed number display. The overlay can easily be peeled off and re-used. Just make sure you properly orient the overlay so that you don't inadvertently place it on the new board upside down. If your existing overlay is damaged, you will need to order separately.
6. Install new ERC using the steps provided in reverse order. Minimize handling the new circuit board with your bare hands to avoid damaging the board.

It depends on if the issue is in the control board itself or just the overlay has become flat.A new control board would be part# WB27T10911 which is about 120.00. The overlay part number is WB27T10968 and retails for approx 85.
To replace either one you would have to remove the control panel and control board. The overlay will be glued to the control board. You could take a heat gun any heat the board up slightly to remove the overlay. Be sure not to let the board get too hot you dont want to damage any of the components on the board. Hope this helps.

You need a separation pad kit for your machine. The parts are relatively inexpensive. There are 2 ways to accomplish the fix. You can install a separation pad overlay kit which can be done without disassembly which is simply adding a peice of rubber over the existing pad or a complete roller & pad kit which requires disassembly of the machine. The easiest is the overlay however best and longest fix is the full kit replacement. Here's a link to each of the kits off of ebay.

The oven control will need to be replace if proper voltage is there. May need to get overlay for control if it doesn't come as one piece.

If several options on the control pad do not work, I'm afraid you probably have an electronic control board that has gone bad. They aren't serviceable and have to be replaced. They can be a bit pricey, however. Most, run over a $100 with some running over $300. A lot of it depends on options and model. If you decide to replace the control board, the overlay (plastic piece with all the numbers printed on it) usually does not come with it, either. You can reuse the old overlay by carefully peeling it off the old control board and reapplying it to the new one. The overlay can run as much $30-$40 as well depending on where you get it.
