Google search is the Google app in you device. You can try wiping the data by going to settings>Apps>Google>Manage Storage>Wipe all data
Reboot.
If that doesn't work, then just uninstall the app and re-install it. That should fix it.

if you are using google chrome ( possibly for google also) there is a google program that can be down loaded free from google that removes a bug in the google system and allows it to work properly
