Trying to remove brushes on my Hitachi C10FSH MITER SAW. Removed caps on sides of motor housing with no problems. The brushes will not come out, scared to pull on springs to hard. Suggestions please!

You might have let the brushes go to long and they are worn so far that they came out of the holders. Maybe try turning the blade backwards while pulling on the brushes.

How do I reattach the motor wire to the brush holder insert? Do I lube the new motor?

On one brush holder you push the clip on the end of the field wire between the bottom side of the square brush holder and the black plastic insert the holder is mounted into. On the other brush holder it pushes between the top side of the brass holder and the black insert. The bearing is pre lubricated but oil the armature shaft before sliding the rear bearing housing on.

How do I install new brushes on 15 amp motor for 3400 skil table saw?

http://www.ereplacementparts.com/skil-3400-f01234000a-table-saw-parts-c-130_164_7498.html
Here is the breakdown - I believe the brush tubes just friction fit with the wire connected by a spade terminal.

Location of brushes on dremel multi max kit

There should be a second brush. Look along the motor - you're looking for a spot where the armature (the part that rotates) is surrounded by a ring of little straight copper-colored bars. That's the "commutator" section. The brushes run against the copper bars.

Look on the outside of the plastic shell - there may be two large plastic screws, one on the outside of each shell half, right about where the commutator would be on the inside. Those are your brush holder screws; you should be able to change the brushes from OUTSIDE the tool without opening it. Some tools are built without external brush holders like that, but most have external brush holders.

If you find external brush holder screws, then track down the second brush and set it aside. It MAY be hanging from the brush holder in one of the shell halves. Unscrew both brush holders and remove them from the shell. Set them aside and reassemble the motor back into the shell. If the brushes are really short, like if they're nearly cube-shaped, then it's time to replace them. If not, try them again.

Insert one brush into each of the holes the brush holder screws came out of, and put the brush holder screws back in. Be careful not to cross-thread them. Try the tool.

If it still won't run, it's possible that an armature winding has given up the ghost and it's time to replace the tool...

How to replace brush holders on dewalt table saw dw745

There is a small allen screw in the field housing holding the brush holders in.
Most often I have found, if the brush holders are needing replacement the motor housing also needs replacement - they heat up and the plastic cracks.

HI. I have a bosch wfo2466 washing machine and need to replace the motor brushes. does the end cap need to come off to do this or is there an easier way? I have successfully removed the motor from the...

You do not need to remove the end cap.Pull off the brush leads, and ease out the terminal ends of brushes with a pair of taper nose pliers..pull the old brushes out, take note of which way the shamfored end of the brushes are facing in the holder.
Push new brushes into holder and compress the springs as you are pushing them down, locate terminal ends into slots of brush holder.
This should help you with your problem.
Good luck.
Thankyou.
