If you open the cabinet door under the sink, you should be able to see the disposer motor. On the bottom or side, there should be a small bump that is the reset button. Push the button in and it should work again.
If it still does not work, make sure that the power cord is plugged into the outlet.
Still not working? Check the fusebox for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.
One last idea: if the outlet that the disposal is plugged into is a GFCI protected plug, there will be a TEST and RESET button in the center of the outlet. Unplug the disposal cord, press the RESET button on the outlet, then plug the disposal cord back in.
