If you open the cabinet door under the sink, you should be able to see the disposer motor. On the bottom or side, there should be a small bump that is the reset button. Push the button in and it should work again.

If it still does not work, make sure that the power cord is plugged into the outlet.

Still not working? Check the fusebox for a blown fuse or tripped circuit breaker.

One last idea: if the outlet that the disposal is plugged into is a GFCI protected plug, there will be a TEST and RESET button in the center of the outlet. Unplug the disposal cord, press the RESET button on the outlet, then plug the disposal cord back in.

Nylon gears stripped on hand mixer beater gears

Unfortunately, modern small appliances are considered "disposable" by the industry. So there are no "better made" parts. The best you can hope for are the same as what was originally installed. Try https://www.ereplacementparts.com

Humming kitchenaid

Hi. You have internal damage to the transmission caused by the jamming of the beater. Go to mendingshed.com and download their free Kitchenaid Repair Manual. This covers your K45SS Model. Go to kitchenaid.com , click on customer care, then select search for manuals. Enter your k45ss in this manner k45sswh. Download the parts list. You are now "Armed and Dangerous"!

Unplug the mixer! Follow the instructions in the manual for disassembly. This Manual is worth it's weight in gold.

Get yourself lots of paper toweling and a pair of disposable gloves. This is a greasy project. The trick is to clean off each successive piece removed from the trans, inspect it for damage, and lay each piece in sequence on a piece of cardboard to make reassembly easier, or take a digital photo of every piece as you remove it. Modern technology makes so many repairs now possible due to the immediate photo documentation we can get. Priceless!

Finally, I recommend replacement grease, Chevron FM ALC EP-2 Food Grade grease. Non-toxic!

If this solution has assisted you, please rate it. Good luck! ricardok45

Where do I get new blades for my Household Blending Mixer HA-3058

It seems you can no longer buy the MegaMixa HA-3058 however Bamix sell a similar product - in fact apart from a couple of aesthetic modifications it seems to be the same machine....

They sell many accessories and you can get blades. Check:
www.bamix.com
www.bamix-blender.co.uk

I have both machines and the blades are identical and inter-changeable between models.

Stand Mixer

Model H was discontinued in the 70's. You might find beaters either directly from Hamilton Beach or on Ebay. There aren't many small appliance repair shops any more, everything now, is considered disposable.

Newish mixer just stopped while mixing...no motor smell or strange sounds...

I think this link will help you understand what is needed to fix your mixer.

You will need to purchase a gear. Here is link MarBeck should have it.

You may need to replace some grease. Make sure to use a non-toxic food grade grease.
