What causes this machine to squeal while running?

This could be a case of bad bearings and if it is you will need a service company to fix.

Sounds like the drum bearings are going bad, or at the very least need lubrication. thats what your problem is.

I would check belt tension and then Idler pulley bearing..If still nothing check the A/C compressor clutch..

depending on the exact model, this could be your pump on reticulate mode (I W model). when they start squealing like this, it can often lead to overheating, which will make the whole machine stop cycling.

my 98 Blazer I had to replace radiator water pump heatercore and hoses. Had head gasket go. Once that happens air and dexcool corrode cooling system. Do you smell antifreeze? Are you loosing antifreeze? Check oil see if its another color not clear or black but i think light brown. Have you flushed out system?

es the belt runs on a belt tensioner that has a roller with a breaing inside the roller. The bearing is locked up causing the roller not to move no longer. This is making the belt squeal. If ran much longer the belt will burn off deleting the squeal although the drum will not turn. Replace the belt and the roller assembly. The tensioner will still be fine to use for it is a spring tension device that out last any dryer

my amanadryer will run for 10 minutes and then start squealing and quit.wait 15 minutes and it will restart and do the same thing. any help???

the wiring may be loose or the switch is worn out & works intermtantly or there is a bad earth connection

the squeal my be built up brak dust! this caused by fitting pads that are TOO HARD!
you can get a different pad that will not squeal but also there could be a rattle plate thats causing it its the steel plate against the **** pad !

Try slowing down the rate at which you are drawing the product from the machine,and giving it a minute or two between draws. If you take to much out to fast it starves the barrel and will cause it to freeze up,and that will make the belts squeal.

possible causes are:

bra wire stuck in tub and rubs against the drum and squeals when on spin.

lip seal at front of bearings squealing - this is a difficult repair
