Be very CAREFUL! Your Babylock is a computerized machine so oiling in the wrong spot could damage it. The owner's manual does not specify any instructions for oiling, only cleaning of the bobbin area.
Baby Lock Manuals

My recommendation is that you call a Babylock dealer and ask if you should be oiling your machine before trying anything other than cleaning.

-Here are the basic.

Flip it over and turn it by hands. Lube all moving part that connect together. If too much oil, wipe it out.

The start button won't stay green on my Baby Lock Ellegante. There seems to be a power shortage not in the foot pedal but in the connection where you plug the pedal into the machine somewhere.

You cannot use the start/stop button with the foot control plugged in.

Where to oil ellegante 2 baby lock machine?

NO WHERE. It is oil impregnated.
Only a repair tech should Lubricate, never oil this type of machine.

I just received a baby lock ellegante by UPS yesterday and have try to go by the manual to beginning embroidery. The first thing that pops up on screen is that the safety device has been activiated. I have...

OK here we go:

1. Hopefully the motor belt came off in transit (I have seen this several times), this is easy to fix after you remove the covers. Unfortunately the covers are not easy to remove. But if you can then just put the belt back on.

2. If the hand wheel is stiff then it is a jam or bind. Jams are always in the hook area, binds can be in several different parts which only a technician can help.
