the problem of your machine is your bobbin, you should adjust it.

it's possible that there is something wrong with the needle bar or the screen, it would be good to have the machine checked.

In the Setup pages. Power on your machine. Press the Settings tab. Arrow (>) through to Width Control ON:OFF. Select ON

Sounds like you have to take off the throat plate and clean out threads under it.  Sometime they ball up and prevent the needle from going down and catching the bobbin thread. You can't see themuntil you take off the plate.  Follow the directions.  It is easy.

Is the metal spool just spinning in the middle of the bobbin because the hole is not a tight fit? I would check my manual for the correct bobbin & then purchase using the specific part number (e.g. SA156). I found this number in the list of "included accessories" for my machine. There will be a part number besides the name.

It sounds like the machine needs to be timed, seek out a sewing machine repair shop for this service.

• Raise presser foot when upper threading.
• Thread normally through all guides
• Lower presser foot
• Thread needle, leaving a 6" thread tail
• Raise foot and gently pull thread (no tension)
• Lower foot & gently pull thread (you'll feel resistance)
• Delint upper tension with Compressed Dry Canned Lint Remover ie: Computer Quality. Be sure no thread is in machine and foot is up so tension is released

Time to take it in and have the repair tech service & clean upper tension assembly. When you clip/ change threads be sure not to pull the thread back out of tension assembly. Snip thread at spool, raise foot to release tension and then pull the short thread out from the needle. The Automatic tension is very delicate and pulling thread out backwards can cause thread/lint build up and problems like your having. Sal the Sewing Gal
