Just replaced the water pump and it is working fine, but ice maker is not producing ice. How long does it take to make ice, if it's just been turned back on?

Have you checked to assure the long narrow hose that comes from the upper lback left corner is attached both on top and inside the water tray? This drove me nuts for 3 hours.

Read the manual and see if the icemaker has a thermostat that prevents the admission of water into the tray if the freezer temp is too high. Also..make sure the ice level bar is down.

Hi,
Try these steps
pls rate my suggestion.......
SOURCE: I have the GE ZDi15 Icemaker. I have cleaned,
The fill action is not pump related as it is a switch that allows tap water pressure to fill the basin. The pump itself needs to be replaced. I have found them for as low as $130 plus shipping on the web. I have looked at replacing the electric motor on the pump and it is not cost effective as you would have to reset the pump shaft in to the electric motor which requires special tools. No real savings doing that. Good news is that pump replacement is easy and it is plug and play.

The Icemaker looks like it is working properly, it's cooling, the cutter blades are heating but not overly, pump is getting water to the freeze plate, it just never makes ice. After running for 5 hours a day for 2 days, I've shut it off because the control panel (where the off/on/clean) switches is getting pretty hot to the touch. Could this be a bad control board and if so, is there a way to run diagnostic to determine. I tried to run manually by pressing on/clean together, etc., but nothing happens.
