This calculator does not have a separator for thousands, millions, etc. This feature may have seemed to the designers to be unimportant in a scientific calculator. You can however change the decimal mark from the dot to the comma. To do that, press [SHIFT][Mode] to enter (Setup). Press the Arrow down. In new screen look for 5:Disp.
I don't know which particular calculator model you have, but for an HP-12C, the manual says the following: Digit Separators
As a number is keyed in, each group of three digits to the left of the decimal point is automatically separated in the display. When the calculator is first turned on after coming from the factory - or after Continuous Memory is reset - the decimal point in displayed numbers is a dot, and the separator between each group of three digits is a comma. If you wish, you can set the calculator to display
a comma for the decimal point and a dot for the three-digit separator. To do so, turn the calculator off, then press and hold down the [.] key while you press [ON]. Doing so again sets the calculator to use the original digit separators in the display.
Sorry but you cannot. You can change the decimal mark from dot to comma but you cannot have the calculator separate the digits between thousands (thousands separator).

It depends on the purpose of your trying to get rid of the comma. If the decimal mark (radix mark) is the comma, you can change it to the dot. If you just do not want to have the 3-digit separator, maybe you should get used to it, or buy another calculator.
