SOURCE: CD Player problem

Most DVD players that would not play a disc even with a known good disc inside signifies that the llaser eye/lens is not reading the disc. This could probably be attributed to:
1. dirty, damaged, inverted, blank, un-finalized burned CDs or DVDs;
2. defective, weak, dirty/dusty burned-out laser eye/lens;
3. dirty, dried up lubrication of the slider shafting (where the laser eye's carriage moves) or some other components; and/or
4. dirty, dried up lubrication, defective spindle motor.

A few things you can try:
1. Use a CD cleaner (readily available from most computer shops);
2. use a can of compressed air and blow through the inside of the loaded disc area;
3. gently tap on the top cover where you estimate the reading/laser eye/lens would be;
4. gently press on the tray door once the disc is loaded;
5. relube, clean as necessary

Should this not be corrective, perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional such as those in a Service Center. Alternately, your friendly neighborhood electronic shop should do just fine.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kindest regards.

SOURCE: CD stuck in BOSE 3 disk stack player

I had the same problem and went to the Bose Tech Support site and found this solution. It allowed me to eject the stuck CD. The same problem happened again when I tried to enter another CD but after repeating the process below the CD ejected again and after that it worked fine.
Hope it works for you.

  • Try performing a reset with your Wave® music system upside down:
    1. Unplug the system, flip it upside down, place it on a firm, level surface, then plug it back in again

    2. If the CD ejects when you do this, the system may need to be serviced. Contact Bose® Technical Support or call 1-800-278-1281

    My cd player wont take cd

    CD players do a little POST before they show you the disc contents. The disc first spins up then the laser head skips across to read the index with is generally on the inside track near the center. If the CD doesn't spin or the head doesn't move the CD player will auto-eject the CD. I'd have that player serviced or replaced.

    I put in a cd it spins noisily then ejects

    Does it do this with only a certain CD? Usually this means that your CD has a scratch and it wont read it. Now if it does this with all your CD's I would say your CD drive is busted and you need a new one. Sometimes the Glass "Eye" that reads the disks gets scratched or warn out over years and they stop reading disks.

    Cd wont eject.

    I was having the same issue with my KD-S5050. I also tried the CD eject lock reset with no results. By using the following steps I was able to reset my CD player and it is working properly again. On page two of the user manual is shows how to do a full reset of the cd receiver. While holding SEL (Select), press ATT (Standby/On Attenuator) for more than 2 seconds. This will reset the built-in microcomputer. http://www.fixya.com/Brands/J/JVC/Manuals/kd_s5050_cd_d2ce2654fa2aab37f3ad2b4ce1e33443/images/KD_S5050_CD_D2CE2654FA2AAB37F3AD2B4CE1E33443_2_p2.jpg NOTES: ? Your preset adjustments ? such as preset channels or sound adjustments ? will also be erased. ? If a CD is in the unit, it will eject when you reset the unit. Be careful not to drop the CD.
