Why isnt my hp screen not lighting up i think lapop has a lock mode how to unlock it

Try rebooting your system in to safe mode and try using system restore in order to restore your laptop to an earlier time when it worked.

If the led is solid blue when the key is out of the ignition that means your in valet mode. Which would disable the alarm, but not the starter.
Simply turn key to IGN position then back to OFF.Push the valet button which is on the antenna next to the led and the led should turn off.Close door on vehicle and lock vehicle.Siren should now chirp.

have your tv in standby mode then on the remote press info, menu, mute, power in that order then when your tv turns on you will be in the menu screen to unlock hotel mode

It sounds like your screen is just locked..You have to hold down the lock/unlock button in order to unlock the touch screen.

the alarm is in valet mode .open a door press lock unlock lock on the remote and it should take it out of valet mode

on start up hold the Alt F9 keys and force the laptop into safe mode under windows. while under safe mode go to control panel to user accounts and change the password. then reboot the computer and try the new password, it should work.

Sorry, Marie, didn't quite get the whole problem. Try a reboot. If that doesn't work, try safe mode. You get to safe mode by rebooting, then when the Mfg splash screen comes up (ie HP/Compaq/Presario) hit F8 until you get the dos menu. The DOS menu is a black screen with about 8 options or so. Use your arrow keys to highlight Safe Mode. Again try to get the Administrator account open by choosing that account and then just hitting enter. If you get in, open the Control Panel, then the User Accounts. Then either change the logon procedure using options or remove the password from the user account you're having problems with. If you can't get this far, you probably have a virus and should submit your computer to a professional for backup and recovery of the hard drive.
