there are two big chips,called convergance chips one of them is failing ,they cost about
10.00 -30.00 etch never more than that.

replace all the surface mounted electrolytic capacitors on the hyper module. also called the scan converter module. this is a common trouble. what a nasty job. good luck.

vertical ic fult or vertical section supplys missing

Hi,

Most likely a blown Vertical deflection output IC. In most (but not all) Panasonic, the vertical IC is an AN55XX.

Repairs should be fairly easy with basic knowledge of electronic circuitry and components and a little soldering. I would expect the IC to be readily available at any electronics part store. Should you be uncomfortable doing a DIY, perhaps your best bet would be to seek the services of a qualified professional.

Your TV has a vertical fault. Based on your description, chances are that it is the vertical IC that went bad. It is relatively a simple repair job and any person with basic familiarity with electronic components and circuitry and soldering would be able to do the job. Should you venture to do a DIY please be reminded of the standard safe practices involve when working inside a TV unit.

Here is a picture of my TV problem, the green horizontal line is from the camera flash. thanks for the help.
