I have a Danby 10011E air conditioner and I am trying to figure out the controls. I need to find out how to use the fan only or how to dry out the unit as it is dripping inside

Google that model number with "manual" to try to locate a owner manual that shows how to operate it--Also if can find the site (website) for the maker visit that.

Danby ice maker service manual

I took mine apart today and found the plastic armature that the motor connects to in order to turn the water tray right side up and up-side down was broken. Essentually the water tray has a plastic pivot arm on both sides. The one side has a slot that the motor fits into which allows the motor to turn the tray. When that little plastic arm breaks, the motor will be unable to move the tray thus causing the fault symbol. I have my tray out and trying to fabricate a part that will hopefully last a lot longer than the original. I hope this helps someone with their issue.

Unfortunately, the model number you listed has been discontinued. But is still supported thru the Danby Consumer help line: 800-263-2629. Contact them regarding your need for the Owner's Manual and they can email you one as an attachment.

I hope this helped you, Susan. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Have lost my manual for the designer 12000. can't tell what each button does-

Here is a link to what I believe is the Owner's Manual for your unit. You didn't mention the Model Number, so I all I had to go on was the BTU Output and the color. Never the less, all Danby Portable AC Units work the same way.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.

The Danby wine cooler Model #DWC440BL-3 runs continously and is not cooling. There is a gurging sound from the compressor or the unit.

Sounds like the unit may have lost the refrigeration charge and or there is a problem with the compressor. Check your warranty depending how long you have own the unit it may be covered.

A manual can be downloaded from the following site.

Danby ice maker keeps flashing it is out of water but there is water in it

The water flow sensor has a dirty connection. There is an eyelet terminal screw holding down to the electrode, that just needs to be cleaned. Just loosening and tightening the screw a few times and maybe moving the electrode more into the stream fixed mine.

Where the water comes into the ice making tray you’ll see two shiny wire electrodes. When the water enters the tray it crosses the two electrodes telling machine has enough water.

Make sure the connection from the wire is clean, and you can test the machine with the cover off and confirm you fixed it.

The electrode is located under the black plastic cover at the rear right side of the machine.

You can access it by just removing the black plastic cover that holds the door. I took all the stainless steel covers off trying to figure this out.
