Orion 1929 just found out online how to remove v-chip password but now i cant pull up the menu to remove v- chip password. lost orion remote but have 2 universal remotes sony rm-v402 and rca universal remote. any solutions

Turn the volume down to 0 then change to a blocked channel. (where it asks for v-chip password) Next, on the TV, not from the remote, hold the volume down button, and hold the '0' key on the remote for between 2-10 seconds... the screen should unlock and you should have no V-Chip restrictions.

using your remote, press menu. Then go to v-chip set. Then press enter. When prompted for the password, press the volume dwn button on the tv set and at the same time press the zero on the remote and hold them for a couple of seconds. You will the be asked for the "New Password". Put in a new password. Once the password is reset. Go back into the v-chip set menue and turn all the ratings "off".

If you're looking to just release the v-chip try this:

Turn set on and set the volume to minimum.
Hold the volume (-) on the set and press 0 (zero) on the remote.
V-Chip password should release.

"This will probably work for most Orion V-chips... I figured it out looking at another manufacturer's instructions, on my Orion it was:
* Turn the volume down to 0

Look in the owners manual as sometimes they give you a backdoor way into resetting or changing the password. then you can go in an turn it off.
