SOURCE: No volume at all out of speakers PSR-E203.

Make sure you use correct power supply.

Try headphones. If they work, then the switch on the headphone jack that disconnects the speakers may not be working properly and not connecting the speakers.

SOURCE: When I power my ypt-300 the LCD lights up and

Press the FUNCTION button till "Local Control" appears and then select it "On".

It appears this may take quite a bunch of presses to get down to the Local Control option.

Refer to your manual around pages 56 and 57 to see the list you step through. Local Control is about 2/3 the way down page 57.

Refer to 59 for the simple instruction toe set Local Control on or off.

SOURCE: i cant connect my yamaha ypt 320 to my pc using

Assuming you have a MIDI interface on your computer, you need to connect the MIDI cables between the keyboard and the PC. You cross connect, that is, in to out and vice versa. You will ALSO need the driver software for the interface in the PC AND most importantly, some software in the PC to handle the MIDI for instance to record.

I have yamaha PSR-i425 keyboard.can i conect it with my pc to play midi files stored in computer memory?

Yes. You will need to have a MIDI interface on your OC and also select in the sounds control panel of windows that you are using the external synth. The MIDI will expect the PSR to respond to the "general MIDI" assignments.

My PSR 550 giving signal (thru m audio fast track)...but no sound

You have to decide whether your keyboard will function as the controller to send the midi info to your program and have the program use the onboard sounds on your soundcard or use the sounds on your keyboard. Here is a link to a forum that I highly recommend:http://www.recordingreview.com/ It is free to join and the free download of Killer Home Recording Setting Up is great. There is lots of info on this site that will explain exactly what you need to know.Check out midi troubleshooting 101 and Getting Started with Midi Sequencing. The site owner Brandon Drury uses Cubase himself and I highly recommend their forum. Hope this helps.

I want to plug in a sustain pedal to my very old yamaha psr 300 keyboard but there isnt a slot. the only slot it fits into is the headphone slot, but then you get no sound! can I get an adaptor for this?

Sorry to bring the bad news but the PSR300 does NOT have a connection for a sustain pedal.

It will however recognize a MIDI command for sustain so if you had a MIDI sustain pedal that emitted controller 64 code, you could use that.

It is UNLIKELY you would want to do this as such devices are not readily availablle. If you slaved this from another synth that had a sustain pedla capabilty you could play booth together and use the sustain of the other synth.

Yamaha Psr-340

I don't have Cubase myself but there must be a track setting that allows you to monitor what you are playing live. Also make sure your keyboard shows up as the midi controller on the software. Your receive channel has to match the send channel of the keyboard. Make sure that synthA or synthB shows up as the sound source (audio out). XFi Midiport is your midi in but since Cubase already sees your keyboard your problem is an audio one not a midi one. Hope this helps.
