SOURCE: After approx. 30 min. of walking on full speed it

I had this happen on our machine after about 5 years of use. I just recalibrated it and it appears to be working fine now. See the manual for information on the steps needed to take in order to do this.

Sounds like the motor shorted. Pull it apart and look for burnt wires and/or a burnt motor. The motor itself will smell burnt if it is.

It smells like burnt plastic after 30 min

is it new? how old is it? burnt plastic is the smell a bad motor produces. dont worry, i dont think it will cause a fire, but a fan motor on its way out will stink!
if its relatively new, return it. if not, get a new one!

Burning smell

thermal switch is not working...upon reaching a certain temperature limit it should switch off then switch on again after a moment to maintain the set temperature..what happened here is that your thermal switch didn't switch off so the temperature continue to rise to the extent that the heating element burnt and smell like that..adjust the setting in such a way that it switches off after reaching the desired temperature..
