Is there any way to transfer my iTunes music to my iPhone or do I have to pay just to have music on my phone

I see people listening to their music on their iPhones all the time. Did they buy this music or did they transferred from another device?

To choose what music to transfer, when your iPhone is attached by USB to your Mac, click MUSIC, under LIBRARY, near the top left. To the right of the word LIBRARY, is another link that says SONGS. Click on songs. All your songs, with check boxes, appear on your screen. to choose ALL of your, check the box to the left of NAME above the 1st listed song. I usually check that box, then I go through the list and uncheck the few songs I don't want.

Hopefully you aren't confused by the previous answers. You really don't give much info, as in OS X version, what iOS version etc, but here is how iTunes works with your iPhone.

You should have a USB cable that charges your phone (and plugs into some sort of wall wort.

Start iTunes.

> Then plug your iPhone into your Mac. Once iTunes recognizes your iPhone, it will appear about half way down the side bar on the left. It will be listed under the DEVICES category.

> Click on the iPhone name on the left sidebar. Mine says "Kerry's iPhone". Once you have successfully clicked on the iPhone link on your Mac, you will see 3 sections, and a bar at the bottom that shows how much space you have and have left on your iPhone.

- 1st section is details about your phone.

- 2nd is BACKUPS. Since you aren't using your music on your iPhone yet, I would choose to backup your iPhone to "This Computer". I back up very little to the cloud, as I have teenagers and don't feel like paying a monthly storage fee, but you can choose to do this at any time.

- 3rd section is OPTIONS. I would check the 1st, 3rd, and 4th boxes for now (1-Auto sync when connected, 3-Sync only checked songs, 4-Prefer Std Def videos). Once you have your songs loaded on your phone, you probably want to check the second option to Sync over Wi-Fi, that way, as soon as you buy a new song on your Mac, it will automatically transfer to your phone.

> after you choose your options, click the Sync botton at the bottom left beside the storage graph-bar.

After the music has transfered, I would go up to the 2nd section, BACKUP, and choose to 'Back Up Now' towards the right under Manual Backup.

If you use the options above, you will not have issues with songs getting deleted from your account, (It's the #3 check box under OPTIONS - Sync only checked songs).

The Music App on your iPhone is RED, and will give you the option to play any music you have on the phone.

Now, enjoy your music. If you have kids or a spouse, 5 devices can share the same iTunes account. I can put any of my kids' songs onto my phone for Free, since they are all under my account.

! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I recommend that you do NOT list a credit card with your iTunes account. I do NOT attach a credit card to my iTunes account. This way the only money that can be spent has to be loaded through iTunes gift cards, and ensures no one is racking up expenses beyond what is already loaded on the account

All the best to you!

Use the power cord for the iPhone. It should be the USB connector on one end and the small plug on the other end. Plug the USB into the computer and open up iTunes. Under the FILE menu at the top, there should be a pull down sub menu that say "devices" SYNC.
Your iPhone will appear on the side bar once you switch to the "Playlist" page. You can drag a whole playlist into your phone icon or do individual tracks. At least, that's what I do.
Let me know if this works for you.

SOURCE: I recently purchased a macbook

There are several ways to do this. You can follow the instructions in the following article to back up your iTunes library on CD/DVD:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1382

Alternatively, you can use your iPod classic to transfer your music as per the instructions in the following article:

http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1329

You can also transfer the contents of your iTunes library via a flash drive or external drive, simply copy My Documents / iTunes to your external hard drive / flash drive, transfer it to your Mac, and then drag and drop the entire iTunes folder onto the iTunes icon in the dock and it will automatically import all of your songs, settings, and playlists.

I need to transfer music from iPod touch to iPhone SE but I do not have a computer. Help!

There are plenty of cloud service apps in the App Store, and some of them support to sync media files. With a cloud service app, you can transfer music from iPod touch to iPhone. Dropbox is regarded as one of the most popular cloud apps among iPhone and iPad users, and it provides 2GB for free use, so you can sync the songs from iPod touch to the cloud service, and enjoy them on iPhone.
  1. Download and install Dropbox on iPod touch. Register an account and log in.
  2. Click Add Files, and select the songs you want to transfer. Then click Upload.
  3. Install Dropbox on iPhone as well, and log in with the same account. Then wait until the songs show up in the Dropbox folder.
  4. You can listen to the songs with the Open in function in Dropbox to listen to the songs, or download the songs to your iPhone so that you can enjoy them anytime you need.

Transfer music to MP3 from my phone

If you'a an iPhone user, you can use iTunes to transfer music from iPhone to computer first. You may have well known that iTunes only transfers purchased items from iPhone to iTunes library, so iPhone users can move purchased songs from iPhone to iTunes library.
  1. Run iTunes and click "Edit > Preferences > Device > Prevent iPhones, iPods and iPads from syncing automatically" at the upper left corner of iTunes window.
  2. Plug iPhone into computer via the USB cable, and then click "File > Device > Transfer Purchases" at the upper left corner.
  3. iTunes will start to sync all the purchased items back to its library.
After the syncing process, you will get the music files in your iTunes library, including the purchased music files. You are able to find the music files in the folder of your iTunes media files on your computer.

The next step is really easy. Since the music you want is already saved on your computer, you can now simply connect your MP3 player, drag and drop to transfer songs.

How do i transfer musics from pc to iphone? i failed to transfer it by using itunes lol. it says sync failed

I know a software Syncios is much more better than iTunes, which not only supports transferring music between PC and iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch, but also transferring other data, like photos, videos, movies, contacts, messages, podcasts, ebooks, apps, notes and bookmarks.

How do i transfer Music to my Iphone from my computer, Once plugged into the computer the songs that are currently in the iphone are unhighlighted and cannot move songs to or from the iphone.. Please help

You need to create a playlist for the iPhone. This isn't intuitive and I don't know why it's this way. It works great, there just isn't anything explaining what to do. This seems to snag Windows users the most. Maybe Mac users are already used to doing things this way? I don't know.

Below is a picture of my iTunes. Look down in the lower-left corner and see that my playlist is highlighted. At the very bottom-left corner you can click the plus sign to create a new playlist. Then drag all of the music you want to the playlist. Finally, in the music tab of your iPhone, make sure you click the playlist you just made to sync all music on that list to your phone.

This will do the trick.
