I goofed - somehow (?) lost contact with my account dk10jn@gmail & was given a new email address of: [email protected] - - - SOOOO, I'm now unable to see my emails, etc. from this a.m.

To change your email address for Gmail, you will need to create a new Gmail account with your new email address and migrate your old data to the new account. Here are the steps to do this:

1. Create a new Gmail account: Go to the Gmail website and click the "Create account" button. Follow the prompts to create a new account with your new email address.
2. Sign in to your old Gmail account: Sign in to your old Gmail account using your current email address and password.
3. Forward all future email: Go to the settings gear icon on the top right corner and select "See all settings" then select the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab. Under "Forwarding" add your new email address, select "Forward a copy of incoming mail" and click on "Save Changes"
4. Download your old email: Go to the settings gear icon on the top right corner and select "See all settings" then select the "Accounts and Import" tab. Under "Import mail and contacts" click on "Import mail and contacts" and follow the prompts to import your old email into your new account.
5. Notify your contacts: Send an email to all of your contacts to let them know your new email address.
6. Log out of your old account: After you've completed these steps, log out of your old Gmail account.

It's important to keep in mind that changing your email address may affect your access to other Google services such as Google Drive, Calendar and YouTube, you may need to update your email address on those services as well.

Unless you have given Gmail a backup email address elsewhere, you probably have lost access to your account.

Otherwise, search on 'gmail lost password.'

If they have an alternate email account (even a friend's can be listed, my wife and I have given each other's) they can send you a temporary one so you can choose a new one.

Sounds to me like you likely are the victim of ongoing id theft via your personal computer or some other computer you have used to access each of those accounts. Stop using any computer you have been using recently and subsequently lost access to those email accounts. find some other computer, verify that computer is not compromised before using it. contact gmail concerning your lost email accounts and go through their process of verifying you are the authorized owner of those accounts. The same applies to your verizon account. They should be able to restore your account based on the billing and personal information you set up with them when you established the account, provided of course you are not the hacker... Beyond that there is nothing anyone else can do to assist you in restoring access to the lost accounts other than the service providers themselves.

To reset your forgotten Gmail password:

• Make sure you either
  • have a secondary email address specified for your Gmail account or
  • you have not logged into your Gmail account for 5 days.
• Follow the I cannot access my account link from the Gmail log-in page.
• Click I've forgotten my password.
• Type your Gmail user name (what precedes "@gmail.com" in your Gmail address) under Username:.
• Click Submit.
• Type the letters in the captcha into the field beneath the image.
• Click Submit.
• Depending on whether you have a secondary email address specified or not,
  • open the Google Password Assistance message in your secondary email account and follow the password reset link in it or
  • type the answer to your security question and click Submit.
• Enter the desired new password under both New password: and Re-enter password.
• Click Reset password.

If you have used your Gmail account in the past five days but have not specified a secondary email address, you'll have to wait for these five days to pass.
