I was getting nine flashes and know the green crt

Monitor has been successfully broken with fall.

check the supply at horizontal driver trans former ,if voltage is correct at ho/driver trasistor ...then check allthe fusible resistances from power supply,,,if tv is taking h/oscillation for awhile ,,give more screen control in lot,,, & see for a horizontal line ,,,before tv becomes off,,, if so vertical ic problem...

Do you have a green light that flashes and then goes off? You need instalation kit# 4835 310 57673, The chassis# is probably an L04.1U AA, correct? What you will do is correct the horizontal timing so everything will come on at the same time. After you install you will see red, blue, and green horizontal lines at the top of your screen.......this is normal when you power up your TV. This is a factory authorized repair.

Five blinks means - AKB circuit (automatic kine bias), the timer/standby indicator blinks for about 30 seconds then goes to the self-diagnosis function. Something is wrong with the video. Check video out, Q705, 732, 761 and other components on the C board, also check Q218, 219, 220 on the A board. In addition, unit could be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

sounds like bad capacitors on the FMT board need replacing that is a common fault with the first generation DLPs There are 3 bad capacitors.

Your green CRT socket may have a solder crack, or it could be the CRT developing a short. You can switch the green CRT socket with the one from the red RT and see if it still flashes green. If it does then its your CRT, But if it now flashes Red, Its a problem in the green drive circuitry.Thts the quickest way to locate exactly where your trouble is. Check and replace on crt module : D702, D703, D704 (all 1N4148) replace with type 1N4948T

Replace C604 (1000uF, 16v) elec. cap. It is in the decoupling circuit for the 5 volt supply
