Hot point has 2 pilot lights on top... light them... then go to oven and light that one... it is a safety feature... no pilot on top kills the pilot in the stove.
.. since gas is heavier then air the company made sure if there was a gas leak on top that it would not be caught by oven and blow up.

SOURCE: I can't find the pilot light on my Hotpoint gas

Depends which pilot light you're talking about. There are two for the hobs and (I assume) one for the oven. I can't find the one for the oven, hence why I'm on here looking through forums (a..?)

Cheers.

Is there a pilot lite I need to light for my stove ffgf3011lw

Some stoves have pilot lights, some have an electronic igniters. If you hear a click, click, click when you turn on the gas, you have igniters.

Can't seem to access Hotpoint Stove Pilot Light?

Your range uses electronic ignition, not pilot lights. For surface burners the igniter sparks when the gas valve is turned to the "light" position. All burners should spark when any gas valve is in the light position. For the oven the ignitor is also electric but does not spark but rather heats up or glows. What is the problem with your range?

Can't seem to access Hotpoint Stove Pilot Light? Also is there a second pilot light for the oven?

For the last 10 years or more there are no pilot lights on gas ranges. Modern ranges have an electronic igniter on the burners and a different type on the oven.

No spark to ignite gas on cooktop

Shut off the stove. Then lift up the range top and you will see pilot lights. Remove the cover on the pilot lights. They could be blown out, but usually they are just dirty. Take a pin and poke it through the hole, then carefully scrub the tubes with a brush that go from the range to the pilot light. When your done with that....use a long match and light the pilot light, make sure no gas is on when you do this. No flames will come out, but it doesn't hurt to be extra careful.

This just happened to me so good timing!

Hope this helps

Pilot light

Ok the OVEN pilot light is located in the broiler part of the over (at the bottom) If you open the broiler and get a flashlight you will see the pilot light unit for the over at the rear on the top. What a cheap piece of **** these Galaxy ovens are.
