N stands for normal. Usually normal is midrange while + is either colder (for more refrigeration) or warmer (for higher temperature). Check the end of the scale for the word , coldest. There will typically be arrows pointing toward colder/est as well. Best would be to move the dial just one (hopefully an) increment and come back 24 hours later and check for a decrease on the thermometer (yours or the reefers built-in one). If it moves the wrong way (assuming constant ambient temperature) try dialing the other direction. .

What is the correct temperature setting for my Bush BECF99L Chest Freezer

The correct temperature setting for your Bush BECF99L Chest Freezer will depend on the specific model and the environment in which it is being used. However, in general, it is recommended to set the temperature dial to the coldest setting, which is typically indicated by an arrow pointing to the "freezing" or "max freezing" setting. This will ensure that the food stored in the freezer is at the coldest possible temperature, which will help to keep it frozen and prevent spoilage. It is also good practice to check the temperature of the freezer regularly with a thermometer to ensure that it is at the correct setting.

Freezer and fridge at 7 setting. can't change to lower setting. What is wrong?

If it is the same temperature as verified with a thermometer, first thing in the morning, at settings 1, 5, and 7, then the thermostat or the thermistor (temperature sensor) has failed. The ideal temperature for a home fridge is 4'C.

There are puzzles though, is 7 the coldest, or is 7 the warmest. Are you increasing the cold, or reducing the cold by setting it at 7? The manual is the only sure-fire way to tell, or sometimes they pot 'Coldest' on the dial. Google is your friend in such cases;

Coldest setting 1 or 7

On my fridge it also says ? C, meaning the 1 to 7 are degrees Celsius. Making the one the lowest and the 7 the highest temperature.

Which is coldest 1 or 5

usually 5 is the coldest. but a good way to tell is to let it run on mid position 3 for a couple hours.. then when you hear the compressor running still turn it up to no5 if it is still running then thats the coldest. turning down to no1 should turn of the compressor meaning temperature reached therefore the warmest...Thanks
