You have not supplied us with a model number, so, please type in "Sears Parts Direct" into your search engine, and supply them with your model number, and you may look at the schematic.
They will supply for a fan motor, if it is available.
If the machine is made in China, parts may not be available.
God bless your efforts.
I use white vinegar and hot water. I soak the disk for a few hours. It's amazing. My venta is 10 years old. I also use different scented oils in mine to fragrance the room. I use it daily. I got a new venta but like the older model better. It is my sleeping machine it provides a white noise that I sleep very well to. The new one is too quiet and seems more fragile.
Sears is your friend here. They often have blow-up diagrams of how these units work. Just find your model number and look at the parts diagram if you can find it. 9/10 Sears has given me the answer through their online manuals.
Open up the back of the machine and look inside for any corroded, broken, loose, or missing wires. One of the issues with the Fresh Airs was the corrosion of the screws and ends of the wires. There is a replacement kit of non-corroding components which can be ordered from Vollara (new name for EcoQuest 800-989-2299).
Also, make sure all components are inserted firmly and correctly. The RCI cell (honeycomb/UV light) must be seated in both ends and turned firmly, like installing a fluorescent light bulb. Other models of the Fresh Air have a separate UV light, ballast, and copper or white slanted screen. The UV/starter must be inserted correctly.
The 4" white ceramic/screen plate must be inserted into the tracks, top and bottom.
The cord must be inserted firmly into the socket in the back of the machine.
The little switch should be pressed so the "I" end is depressed and the "0" end is up.
If none of these seems to be the issue, the possible problem is with the computerized components, and only the company can deal with those! Call the above number, and they'll give you your options. Use #16618 if they request a referral number.
Please check the model number of the EAC?? Once you have that model number handy you can call this number 18002842925 they send you a softcopy of the manual to your email.
