Hi. I've just purchased a computer but without the harddrive. I do have the o/s key but I'm not sure how to install the system without disks. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have to borrow or buy the install disks (Not the recovery disks), the problem is that not all keys work with all copies of the system.

My DVD player model# PET100/67 lost its Audio-Video (AV out) wire is lost. I need to buy one. Could you please give me any information on how to buy? I bought this player in the Philippines and now...

I think you're talking about a "camcorder video cable", you can get a picture or purchase it on Amazon. One end is like a 1/8" headphone jack, but has an extra conductor, while the other end are 3 RCA jacks.

I ordered VHS2DVD and received a DVD with that title, but also a DVD titled EzCAP. Ran the first which was a tutorial, then loaded EzCAP. Video capture seems to work except I get no audio. How can I...

I got the same system. The instructions in the PDF manual say you do not need the EzCAP Disk. I can capture video, but no audio. The trouble shooting site tells me if I have only one audio output on my VCR, I need to get an RCA signal combiner from Cables 2 Go. I am going to try Radio Shack first. That might be the solution. Hi. I have lost my adapter and connectors to connect my smart disk HD to my Macintosh power book (g3 model). The model # on my disk drive is FWFL80-N. Has another # which is JH7X04. Where can I find...

You could buy a disk-drive-to-USB adapter, and connect the "bare" disk-drive to a USB port on your computer, and then copy all the files onto your computer.

See: http://cgi1.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190391564434
for under $5.00 for such an adapter.

Or, you could spend about $40 to buy a brand-new enclosure & AC-adapter & cable that is "empty", and then you could "transplant" your 40GB disk-drive into that enclosure, without losing any data on the disk-drive. Then, copy the files, and then remove the disk-drive, and purchase a new, larger, disk-drive, and install that into the new enclosure.

Given that your disk-drive is "only" 40GB, it's probably getting old, and is "out-of-warranty", and thus should be "retired" before it completely fails.

So, the best solution would be to buy a brand-new, much larger, external storage device.

Ok I have a xnox 360 and when i plug the color coded cables into the color coded tv inputs i turn the channal to video 2 and i hear sound but i could not see anything? sooo what do i do?

Are you using AV or component cables?

*Solution for AV Cable*
Check to make sure the cable is fully plugged into the port. Having it even just slightly out of the socket will render no video. If this doesn't work, try plugging it into a different port on your television to make sure the port isn't bad. If you still have no video - the video part of the cable could be bad and you might need a new cable.

Also make sure that if your cable has BOTH component and AV connections available that the switch at the end of the cable near the Xbox is set to "TV" as opposed to "HDTV"

*Solution for Component Cable*
Also check to make sure that all the video connections are fully plugged in. If even one of them isn't plugged in fully, it could render no video. Also make sure that you have them properly plugged in to the right color. If you're just quickly connecting it to the back of the TV without proper lighting, it can be easy to confuse the blue and green connections.

When using component, make sure that the switch at the end of the cable near the Xbox is set to "HDTV" as opposed to "TV".

How to connect panasonic nv-gs150 with dv to pc in 1394 port ?

You need to purchase a IEEE/1394 firewire. They run around $40-$55 for a 5 foot wire. The 1394 end goes into the computer and the other end goes to your AV/out port on the cam.

How can I turn to AV without a remote control (Samsung TV/VCR 19in Combo)

you might try going to channel 00
If you cannot just dial the number 00, go to channel 2 and then channel down.
Does not always work, but without the model number of the TV it is hard to advise further
