You can't use someone else's numbers, even for the same set, and expect them to be perfect. The picture settings are governed by the viewing conditions in your TV room.

Settings such as Brightness can only be set correctly in the room where you are viewing. Brightness affects where you might then set gamma, and contrast, and colour. So just one setting has a lot of impact on several other areas of the picture.

Putting in someone else's numbers will make the picture look different. But that's not the same as the "best" calibration for your TV.

If you want to do a good set-up without spending any money, have a look at your DVDs and Blu-rays for those titles with the THX Optimizer.

SOURCE: PICTIRE SETTINGS

1. you should have a HD source, such as direct tv with HD channels
2. You need to connect this source with a HDMI cable
3. Make sure all the setting match from the source to the tv

SOURCE: Thanks!

Adjust backlight respectively asin the brighter the room the higher the backlight setting the darker the room the lower if you go below 16(if the room is totally dark, turn backlight to 0 and bump up brightness 3 or 4.

Good luck

p.s. the cinema setting is pretty darn good for out of box calibrations just turn off high contrast, colors, tru motion for normal non 100% computer generated movies for example, finding nemo and the rest of the animated movies look excellent with tru motion regular film is too video like it looks like soaps to me but hey you may like it so whatever floats ur boat do you have blu ray player, well if ur going to get one get the bdps350 as it does 24fps excellent and well so does your tv it actually uses 5:5 pulldown which is great. (leave tru motion off when feeding 24fps/ real cinema!)Great tv pick dont follow the hype lg is a good brand. lol no i dont work for lg just sick of the sony, samsung, sharp fans. As far as lcd goes lg70 is it right now. I didnt calibrate for sd but i would say they should be pretty close honestly. ill check when i get time.

Go to menu on your remote control and select picture setting and try selecting "default" setting to seeif you like the color, if not adjust contrast to about two thirds of the way and brightness to your liking and color to about the middle.

Because of the manufacturing process each tv has its own perfect settings that must be adjusted individually. A good tutorial on how to do that can be found here

I want to know the ideal picture settings for my samsung tv - (LE32B450C4W). The picture settings seem to need changing depending upon the type of programme i am watching. The TV is HD ready, but I am not...

There are as you know factory presets to choose from in the user menu.. Your eyes will tell you what you like. The only other way to get a killer picture is to have the TV Calibrated by a good ISF Calibrator.

What are the best settings for my samsung lcd tv 620 series

You only have the preset picture settings and the custom settings to use in the user menu.. Only your eyes can tell you what you like. The only other way to get a really killer picture is to have a Professional ISF Video Calibrator calibrate the set.

Can u suggest me best colour settings for my samsung led

Picture default settings are provided by Samsung. If the colors are not correct you might have a bad Main bd. On the other hand if the picture is good and you want a much better picture then you might consider having a ISF Claibrator calibrate your TV.

Picture Is Too Big for Screen

Sounds like your cable box is zoomed in, I run into this a lot when running service calls. On most cable provider's remotes there is an 'aspect' button next to or around the '0'. Try that and see if it helps you out at all :)

Picture quality for gaming

Match the PS3's output resolution to your TVs (in this case 720p).
Don't sit too close, otherwise you'll start to see individual pixels.
Make sure the HDMI cable is good quality.
As for picture settings, they will very so much according to the viewing conditions that i cannot give you settings that are gauranteed to work for you. But sharpness should always be 0 when dealing with HD content.
If you want to really get the best picture from your TV, try using a THX disc to calibrate it. Luckily these are normally included on Disney PIXAR DVDs, so go find yourself a copy of CARS or something. Follow the instructions of the THX setup, and you should have youself a sweet looking picture in no time.

Hope this Helps.
