this is a common fault take back of and look on main power board for blown capacitor's ( raised tops ) they look like little batteries with white line down one side replace then with same value e.g ( 2000mf 25v)
remember what side line is on (TAKE PICTURE) for capacitors look on Charles hyde and son web site(CHS) under general components listed on left side of page

There are as you know factory presets to choose from in the user menu.. Your eyes will tell you what you like. The only other way to get a killer picture is to have the TV Calibrated by a good ISF Calibrator.

This may be due to a faulty T-Con board that needs replacing, this board is the display driver and will cause all type of symptoms when it is going bad.

Hi I am Vortash .. sounds like it could be dry solder joints on the circuit or the final speaker drive board , if you are O fae with electronics and can do this yourself .. check with a spyglass for rings or cracks around the component legs on the solder side of the circuit board and re solder to eliminate , you may find a gentle tap on the board will bring the sound back on this would confirm dry joints , however it could be the audio IC defunct or the output caps also .So maybe a visit to the engineers is needed in this case .for an free estimate on the cost of repair . . regards Vortash

Check power board for domed capacitors and replace them. Next if needed replace the main board.

Replace main board, the one with tuner on it.
might be quite expensive or, worse, no longer available. Samsung is not good for backing up their products. You may consider to "Shop at Jimmy", instead.But, they are all used.

comcast remote instructions (also add the model number which is printed at the top or bottom of remote)

IF A SAMSUNG TV Put tv into STANDBY

WARNING DO NOT CHANGE ANY OTHER SETTINGS TV WILL NOT WORK

Press INFO / MENU / MUTE / STANDBY on remote tv will come on with service menu displayed and FACTORY RESET (12) is on it
ONLY USE DOWN NAVAGATION KEY until you highlight factory reset
NOW PRESS RIGHT NAVIGATION this will reset all settings
PRESS POWER ON THE TV TO EXIT then turn on tv and retune

make sure your tv is set in right language and location because after the big re-tune you might of entered wrong ones
the best way to do this is reset back to plug & play put tv in analog mode press TV/DTV on remote and then MENU ( NOT DTV MENU ) move down until you see plug & play in one of the menues press enter and follow on screen instructions
