'Always use SonicStage or CONNECT Player to transfer to the player audio files that you want to play. Audio files transferred with Windows Explorer cannot be played by the player'

Using a pair of pliers grab the silver loop on the back of that player. This is pulled up and backwards at an angle. it is held on by an adhesive pad. You will need to use either the SONY Connect Player latest version is v1.0.04.16100
OR
You can also use the SONY SonicStage latest version is 4.3.01.14050
Both are available here in this ATRAC Tools
download Sonicstage is a webinstaller included are the older v3.4 and
the latest v4.3 also the DRM OMG Status v1.0.exe file yo check to see
if your digital rights management is working OK.
