I have a wireless connection to my 7410 that has been working fine for several years but recently it stopped printing. When I try to print test page it sends signal to printer print a couple of lines and quits. An error message appears in the dialog box but I have to hit cancel on the printer itself to clear the command. The machine will print a test page from the printer itself, makes beautiful copies.
I have tried unplugging, reinstalling software from OEM, restarting everything, router, hub, printer, computer and nothing works. Any one who can give me a clue would be my hero.
Thanks

I am not sure about that problem. However if the printer has an ethernet connection, you should be able to and xp should find it. If the printer does not have ethernet connection you need to check with the router manufacture. Hope this helps.. Let me know.
1.Right click on MY computer ->Properties->Hardware->Device manager.
2.You will get Device manager window popping out.
3.Scroll down to "Universal Serial BUS controllers".Click on the (+) sign.
4.Check for the "USB Composite Device" and right click on it, click Uninstall.(IMPORTANT NOTE:WE HAVE TO UNINSTALL THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, TO KNOW WHETHER IS THE PRINTER'S USB COMPOSITE DEVICE, RIGHT CLICK ON USB COMPOSITE DEVICE AND PROPERTIES,look for what location says, Eg -LOCATION : HP Office jet 7400)
5.Disconnect the USB and reboot the PC.
6.Connect the USB after reboot, you will get pop up "Found new hardware".Then the Drivers will be installed Automatically.
I think I have solved this, any way it worked for me.
Turned off printer and turned off wireless router made sure no computers are on.
Restarted printer make sure wireless settings are installed in printer then restart router.Once router is up and running switch on computer and you should be able to print.
Hope this works for you.
