You will have to remove the plastic cap on the end of the tool where the tips go in. Then screw on the cutting guide.

SOURCE: how do you attach "multipurpose

Remove the collet nut and collet then unscrew the sealing cap (black plastic ring), this has the same thread as the inner of the multi kit tool, so just screw on the tool then replace the collet and nut

Turns on and vibrates but will not cut. What is going on? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Just some observations:
- The correct blade has ti be installed.
- It has to be sharp
- It can only cut material intended for that blade.

My Dremel max won't start

Check and replace brushes as necessary. Also, check that the actual electrical switch is functional. I had to add a drop of crazy glue on the tip of the interior plastic handle housing that supports/puts pressure on the electrical switch to keep it in position. The off/on thumb slider actually extends well into the housing and activates the electric switch by moving back and forth. Over time, the plastic wears and does not plunge the on off switch button. A drop of glue on the tip of the plastic post extends it & causes enough pressure to make the electric switch to function again. Brushes (filed to fit) and glue = good as new Dremel :o)

Which parts go on the dremel to use the cut wheel?

there is a straight shaft with a screw that threads into it that you would use for the cut wheel, don't over tighten it or you will crack it before using it.

I had a dremel passed down to me but don't know what it is for. Please advise how I can make use of this tool.

http://www.dremel.com/en-us/projectsandcommunity/projects/Pages/default.aspx

this website is directly from dremel. It shows different projects, crafts, or hobbies you can use it for. It is a real simple tool to use, and also is very handy. You can obtain several types of bits for it ones for sanding, engrving, cutting all types of materials, and much much more. Hope this helps

How do I attach tools to my Dremel?

hello. You loosen the arbor at the base of the shaft closest to the tool. There is a tiny wrench in the kit that came with the dremel, or you can use a pair of pliers to loosen it. Joe
