I have a pride go go ultra x scooter... I purchased it, and it had no top dash at all... I put a new throttle pot, and a whole new dash assembly... It runs great... Then I turn the speed pot to fast... And it kicks off with a seven beep code.. I have tried another dash unit and different throttle pot...

7 flash code is: Throttle control fault.

1. Check wiring for open/short circuits.
2. Check the throttle set-up.... The ohms should be very close to each other when placed checking forward and reverse on set up.

SOURCE: wiring for pride rally scooter.

Sorry but your probably going to have to get this to a service technician. That is a big problem you have there. Most wiring is`nt even color co-ordinated so it`s not a matter of matching up colors. I`d call a professional,

SOURCE: my pride IV scooter will not start I get a click

An 8-flash code indicates that the controller has shot craps. The controller is located under the shroud beneath the seat by the batteries and it controls all of the power and automatic functions of the scooter. They are damaged most often by water infiltration like running through deep puddles, etc. or by over-amping the scooter by driving it through unstable terrain like sand, mud, wet grass. There's no fix for it but a replacement and it's pricey...several hundred dollars.

SOURCE: pride mobility scooter wont move

hi, that noise could be a relay clicking off inside the motor controller because the brake on the motor has failed to release,

It quite a common problem and the only way to be 100% sure is try a replacement brake unit.

My Pride mobility Pursuit has an uneven throttle response. A very light touch on the throttle lever causes the scooter to surge forward (or reverse).

Your best bet is to replace the throttle potentiometer. This can be purchased from the manufacturer Pride Mobility part#FRMASMB15318 or from Monster Scooter Parts:

http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/throttle-pot-pride-pursuit.html
Always verify model and SN compatibility before ordering.
I ran your serial number and it did not return any results in the Pride Mobility database

My electric scooter hesitates, then goes, hesitates, then goes without letting up on the throttle

Going and Slowing is usually a problem with the throttle pot. They are often easy to fix yourself with a bit of WD40 once you have found out where the throttle pot is on your machine. Sometimes they have to be replaced, but fortunately the part is quite cheap. You didn't say what brand your scooter is, but Pride scooters are known for throttle pot problems.

I have a cosco 57-410 4 wheel electric scooter, seems that the electric brake is not functioning right. Scooter wont free will or run with power on. give an electric break code. Swtich on electric...

The brake is controlled by the position of the fwd/reverse throttle paddles.
There is a pot inside that the paddles attach to..if the pot is not
centred the brake doesn't work properly when the paddles are
released. I had the same problem on my Pride Legend XL..
had to order the throttle pot from MonsterScooter, com.
Installed it myself and that cleared my electric brake problem.

Could you please tell me where i will get forward& reverse throttle for pride victory

Throttle potentiometers are a frequent part that is replaced on scooters due to wear. This part is available from the manufacturer Pride or from a company called Monsterscooterparts.com.
At the Monsterscooterparts home page click on mobility scooter parts, pride scooters, pride parts click on Pride Victory XL SC270 , select throttle pot assembly. Verify SN and compatibility remarks. They have an 800 phone number for questions and they ship worldwide. The Pride part number is ELEASMB 1511 for Victory XL 4 wheel scooters after the year 2000. Looks like the price is about $80. Labor is about 1/2 hour and can be done by an experienced mechanic or do-it-yourself. The part is available from the manufacturer if you are a dealer or have an account.
First remove the throttle lever by loosening the allen set screws. Separate the front console covers by removing 8 or more screws holding it together. Locate the throttle pot, unplug it and install a new one. Be careful not to over-tighten or strip the screws holding the potentiometer housing tabs to the plastic. Check the alignment visually before reassembling it. Don't pinch any wiring when you put the console back together. When you reinstall the throttle lever make sure it is even left to right and does not bind on the plastic console housing. Tighten the lever set screws firmly but do not strip them, this repair will need to be done again and you want to be able to remove these set screws. Hope this helps.

Go Go Scooter travels in reverse, but when going forward it comes to an abrupt stop every few seconds. Everything else appears to work normally. Any ideas?

csr4 Well it could be the throttle pot or the speed control pot My leanings is toward the throttle pot since it works in reverse with the speed pot not being changed but not forward. when you are just changing the position of the throttle to forward thereby changing the pot wiper and getting the error. Contact Pride about the problem at 1-800-800-8586 and ask for Tech support for scooters and explain your problem to them. I hope this helps

I have a pride victory xl8. Problem - was running

All scooters have a protection system built in to prevent burning up the motor, and the user, should the scooter overheat. It sounds like yours overheated. If the temp. outside was warm to hot, and your weight is near the weight limit for the scooter, and you are taxing the motors over a hill, or unstable terrain, then the scooter goes into "limp home mode", or just enough to get you a bit aways, and then it will turn off. After a few minutes to cool off, it will go again, but shut down fairly quickly because it takes a spell to let the whole transaxle-motor assembly to get cool.

Check your weight, and anything else you may be carrying with you on the scooter. Check the terrain, and incline you are going against. Throttle down for all these occassions. If you overloaded the system at some point, then you may have overheated the brushes. Remove them (2) with a standard screwdriver and see if the copper coil is still flexible and springy. If not, replace it/them.

The damage may already be done, so it may need a new motor/transaxle assembly. An expensive proposition I'm afraid.
