sometimes if you dont put the right code in all the functions wont work.factory radios nowadays go thru the ecm (electronic control module) of the veichle.meaning if your radio was stolen and put into another vehichle it would be locked, and a code needs to be put in.unplug the battery and radio and go to this site to find your code.http://gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=350260
The control module is behind the dash to the left of the radio. Remove the two screws underneath the radio, this will allow the dash panel to snap out. You can now see the module. Open the rear hatch, look to the left panel under side window, you will find the module behind it.
2006 ford explorer, where is the computer module located? I lost my keyless entry code and the key when cold doesn't always work. And will the numbers on keylock light up?
the module is located behind the dash just to the left of the radio. remove the two screws below the radio and the dash panel snaps out and you can access the module
do you mean the elect. control module if so it is behind the radio youll will need the radio tools to take the radio out they can be found at most any parts stores.
I am losing all functions of instrument cluster, radio dumps too, windows intermitently do not work, is this a GEM module issue? if so how can I self-test?
