Scanning Hello, We've had our 350 for awhile and aside from a quirk or three it usually works pretty well. The issue now is that the computer to which the faxes and scanned docs are sent has bitten the dust. It will not restart, take any type of recovery, etc. We have been through the book, logged onto admin., etc and cannot send items to a different machine. There is only one place where we see the machine's name (network name) and the 350 will not let us change that. All user boxes are listed on that machine (and under it's IP address) but it's IP address is nowhere that can be changed in the 350's setup. Help.

NotAnExpert,

I believe that you will be able to change that setting by using the web interface for the Konica Minolta.

Open your browser and enter the following:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx represents the IP address of your Printer.

This should open your configuration interface. In the center of the page there should be a series of tabs: System, Job, File, Print, Scan.

Choose Scan and toward the bottom of your page you should see the destination folder that goes to your now defunct computer. Click on that folder and it should bring up the Job Type Page - yours should be set to File (Scan to PC). Select next and it should allow you to enter the name for the new folder and the IP address for the new computer.

I hope this helps.

It might be helpful if you mention what piece of equipment you are using to do your scanning. All scanners and MFP have their own quirks.

Hello, I have a Lexmark x5470 and can not scan at all. When put it on scan, it does say it is downloading and after awhile it says can't retrieve. Clem

If scanning was working perfectly before, it could be a minor communication issue. Unplug your printer from your computer. Unplug and replug your printer into the power source to reset itself. When your printer turns on completely, reconnect it to your computer. Then try scanning again.

CanoScan Scanner can not complete a scan

Double-check all connections and try another port if possible. There may also be damage to cables or pins. Do you have another cable to try? Do other devices work in the same port?

I googled the code and got a few returns. In a nutshell, either the LAN Cable is not connected or the destination address is wrong.
