Kubota troubleshooting Hi, We own a 2004 Allegro bus motorhome and we have a 7.5 diesel generator model # HDKAJ11451H and S/N D030488359. IT IS POWERED BY A kUBOTA ENGINE MODEL D722 and S/N 3A7180. It always worked good but a few days again I started it and it stopped after a few minutes. Tried restarting and no luck. Checked air filter looks good. Took fuel filter off and some dirty liquid came out. Use an air compressor to flush it. Reinstalled and Gen ran1 minute or so and stopped. Flushed fuel filter again and fuel looked ok. But no luck starting gen . Should I change fuel filter or could it be something else. We are now located 1 hour South of Timmins, Ontario Canada. There are no Onan Cummins dealer close by. I really need to get the generator started. Remember I think its a fuel injected engine. Please email advise! Thanks for your help Gates Guenette

If your unit is running fine and then all of a sudden it just shuts down it is usually that you stopped creating voltage. You need to check the brushes and rings. If you are able to start the unit right up without any hesitation and voltage is being produced, then your fuel pump is breaking down. If you do have hard time restarting then you may have clogged fuel filters. One at the carberator and one at the fuel pump.

Check the Ground Fault Indicator circuit breaker for triping, and look for the high limit on generator. Reset the main breaker by triping it full right and then back. Vitally

Yes it wil not let you run your motorhome out of fuel they set it up that way so you dont strand yourself you may have a air bubble in the fuel line to the generator try blowing air generator fule line back into the tank
