Hp laserjet m1136 gives half or blank print

Check your toner cartridge first.
There is more than one cause for this problem. It could also be your transfer roller that needs to be replaced.
Or it could be the scanner that has gone out.
Are you getting an error code?

HP M1136 printers doesn't have E series errors, pl chk

Have you considered installing the scan tools on the other computers? Print sharing is a function of windows; assuming that the printer is not a true network printer. Windows does not have the ability to share scanners. But this is where the software can scan the network and find a HP scanner. Also some scanners can perform a "scan-to" function; but I believe the software need to be installed on the destination computers for this to work as well.

ERROR E3 IN PRINTER DISPLAY

Printing or paper?.. If printing check 1. check with another cartridge 2. check half test page(half test page while printing half page stop printer remove cartridge & paper see the image created on cartridge drum or not ,if not clean the Laser scanner assm, check on paper proper image or not if not clean the transfer roller.(looked like sponge roller located just under the cartridge location). beyond this trouble shoot, advised to send it to service center..

do half test page test find any image created on catridge drum, if no image found then
Check laser scanner assembly shutter fully operating or not while catride access unit closed, if unable to check, remove the shutter from laser scanner assm
Increase toner density
set factory settings,
If image on drum no print on paper, check transfer roller, contacts, if dirty replace T.roller, no result replace Power supply board..

The surge protector or UPS may not be allowing sufficient voltage through to the printer. HP printers do not have built in speakers of any kind. Because of this, they are not capable of making any beeping or squealing sounds. If any noises such as these are heard then the printer is probably connected to an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) or a backup battery. To verify that the UPS is the source of the noise, plug the printer directly into a wall outlet bypassing the UPS.

The following are common symptoms:

• High pitched squealing, beeping sounds, or alarms (UPS)
  NOTE: Noise over the phone line can also cause high-pitched squeals and beeping sounds.
• Inexplicable or false error messages
• Printer will not "wake up" from sleep mode
• Printer appears to be DOA
• Incorrect printout
• Slower than normal printing
• The printer control panel display is blank or shows garbled characters
• Accessories, such as attached copier/scanners, do not function properly
• Monitor loses power or shuts off
• Computer reboots when job is printing
• Job only prints half way, causing a paper jam

If it is necessary for the product to be connected to the above-mentioned devices, consider the following items:

• There are many UPS configurations and load conditions that can affect proper printer operation. Depending on these configurations or load conditions, printer functionality cannot be predicted.
• No damage to current HP LaserJet products will occur, but, depending on their particular UPS configuration, the printer may or may not operate properly.
• Printing while on a UPS battery backup is not recommended because of the large power requirements of HP LaserJet products.
• If the HP LaserJet printer is not operating properly and power line conditions are suspected, try a different circuit (a different wall plug located away from the current one), or try removing it from the UPS.

Friends try to remove the scanner section of the printer and clean it this make solve your problem

Try unplugging the cord to the printer and wait a few seconds and re-plug the cord again , print what ya have to print again/hope this helps .
