SOURCE: troy bilt pressure washer will not build or reach high pressure

check the non-return valves in the pump block. if these are damaged or dirty you pressure will be greatly reduced. they are located behind the 3 lage brass hexagonal caps.

I hope this helps

I have a Troy built pressure washer with a Honda motor. When I hook up the water and start the motor I get no water to the hose and a small stream out of the pump under the unit. Please help!

have you disconnected the hose where it attaches to the pump? Many times you will get a build-up of sediment at the screen filter at the pump

All outflow stops when I start the motor on my Troy-bilt 2600 pressure washer. What's up?

Could also be crack/leak in HP pump. If it were left in cold weather without antifreeze, I'd check there first. Part + labor might warrant new washer if more than a couple years old.
Sorry.

Why does my Troy built pressure washer have no pressure and shuts down

There is probably a bypass valve in the pump not working correctly causing pressure to build up inside the pump, not releasing , and putting the motor under strain until it dies.

When trigger is pulled pressure goes up and down as long as trigger is held

When you start the pressure washer, having the water from the faucet at full pressure, apply pressure to the triger gently....this should allow the system to release the pressure gradually and keep up.....when you pull the trigger full throttle, it can cause the jurking sensation in system. If this does not resolve the problem you may have a bad empeller pump and requires replacement. Do not allow the pressure washer to run for more than a couple of minutes without water flowing thru is as this will burn up the motor )empeller pump). Good luck

Troy-bilt 2200 psi pressure washer

I have a Troybilt Model 2200 PSI Pressure Washer in which I have used only 2 times in the past 2 1/2 years. Went to use it this past weekend and the pump in not working. Water shoots out of the side. I bought this brand and model as I thought Troybilt was suppose to be so good. Went back to where it was purchased and had no success but to say I could buy another pump or take it in to be repaired. I believe that this power washer should be replaced at no charge. 2 uses does not constitute a few hundreds of dollars.
Have you to heard anything concerning pump problems on this particular model? Thanks for any advice. .
