Bad pump

Your washer was sitting for a while I suspect. Check the carb and make sure it is tight to the engine. If it is then you will need to take the carb off, careful not to tear any gaskets. Then remove the fuel bowl and clean out all ports. Make sure to clean out the jet as well as I suspect the fuel is clogged in the carb and overfilling. Your needle valve is stuck open and then flooding your carb and spilling out the side of your engine. Make sure your needle valve and float can move freely before reassembling. Good luck

Could also be crack/leak in HP pump. If it were left in cold weather without antifreeze, I'd check there first. Part + labor might warrant new washer if more than a couple years old. Sorry.

There is no need to prime. But you do need to use the black spray nozzle to get soap to siphon out. if that doesn't solve the problem let me know

Looks like the pump has failed; most times caused by freeze damage. If you store over the winter, you need anti-freeze in pump.

Inspect the seals, connections and hoses, and seals for any leaks. Leaks can lead to a drop in pressure and cause the pressure washer to shut off.

Check spark plug is clean and not cracked . If you google make and model it comes up with some information of how to sort problems .
