Horizontal lines have recently started appearing in all photos

Hello there,
I have suddenly started seeing horizontal lines in all my photos. I tried using a new memory card but the problem persists and so must be a fault with the camera itself. These lines can be seen on the camera screen and are even worse when photos are enlarged on a PC. Also, all my photos now have a red/ornage tinge regardless of light conditions and whether the flash is on/soft/off etc Help!
Thanks in advance :)

I have this problem too. It has even gotten worse and pictures taken outdoors are almost completely white with horizontal lines! I loved my old 3.2 mp Exilim, but I am extremely dissatisfied with this one and will be switching brands (probably to Sony or Canon, which are more trusted names, albeit more expensive).

I just took mine to casio and they repaired it for free even though warranty was up. I would contact them.

Horizontal lines have appeared on the screen what has caused this and can I get rid of the lines.

The LCD in the viewfinder likely has connection problems or broken circuits. Did you drop it recently? Was it subject to extreme temperature etc recently? You may find the lines shift around or even go away for some time. That would imply bad connections. If your technical enough to disassemble it, there is often a rubberised connector use between the LCD and circuit board that can be cleaned. It's delicate work tho.

Hi, I purchased the same model in November 2009. About 2 weeks ago a single horizontal line appeared. Each day another appeared until today when the video went out. Now it displays bands of vertical colored lines like a pastel colored rainbow. Did you find a solution to the problem?

Hello

This will be caused by the CCD sensor beginning to fail. The CCD sensor is how the camera sees. When it begins to fail, you will get distortion in your images.

You could opt for a repair, but it would be more cost effective to just purchasing a new camera.

Horizontal lines appear on photos taken by my sanyo xacti vpc s60ex camera

Hello.
The chip/one of the ribbon inside the camera has a possible scratch in it.
Firstly, try to connect it to your PC and look if there's any update available online.
get it update, if there is.
If none is available, flash the camera to a dark and light places and check if you can still see the horizontal lines.

If you can see the lines, it means it needs to be repaired.

The image disappears on my tv screen. A horizontal line appears.

You need to check the horizontal IC for deffects, possibly and most likely there are dry joints on the legs of the Horizontal IC. Have all the legs on the IC soldered nicely, this shud sort out your problems as you say you hit the TV then works. Try this before replacing the IC

Horizontal lines on image

This is not a solution , but only a work around. If you do at least 1/3 zoom on your lens before clicking a photo, these lines will not appear. But this not not a convenient way I agree.
Also this surely means that the CCD is not the problem otherwise it would have never worked ( electronic parts cant simply dont start to work when you zoom ringht ? ). Surely Nikon is fixing the issue, but cheating the customers by charging for a part is not defective in the first place
