SOURCE: Hi I just purchased auniden

Make sure that the slide switch marked MODE is in the far right (Scanner) position before you start programming. If you need the manual for your scanner, you can download and print it, at no cost, here:

L/o on the screen only picking up 1 chanel

Do you have frequencies programmed into the other channels? Use the MANUAL key to advance through the channels. If each shows a frequency of 000.0000, you need to program the scanner. It will automatically show LOCKOUT for each unprogrammed (000.0000) channel.

HOW DO YOU PROGRAM A UNIDEN SCANNER, JUST PURCHASE IT. BUT DON;T UNDERSTAND HOW TO PROGRAM IT. CANNOT SET UP CLOCK CAN NOT PROGRAM CHANELS.

There is no clock function on the BC92XLT. To program a frequency, power the scanner ON, then press HOLD to stop scanning. Next, enter the channel number that you wish to program (01, 02, etc.). Push FUNC, then PGM, then enter the frequency you wish to program, including the decimal point (example, 156.075). Press the E key to complete the entry.

Programming icr-5 for airband use only

assuming you can scan the air band from 108 - 135 what you now need to do is select your range of frequencies from the numeric memory and put them into a "prog", then you can scan the frequencies in there only, better still store them in one of the alpha numeric "banks" or "groups" and scan only those groups. the scanner itself will place active chanels into memory slots automatically for you if you want, then you only hear pre-activated chanels, this is limited though and does not give you very much scope!

not all scanners will pick up the same, the hand held can't pick up frequency as far as the other one.

Won't scan frequencies.

Check the ATT settings ... when att is showing I don't believe the scanner is as "sensitive" as it is when ATT is showing  this is explained in the manual.... if I remember correctly it is toward the back of the manual Good luck
