It blinks when everything is running normally. Be worried when it stops!
Seriously, this is a code to tell you what's wrong; contact manufacturer for a code list and the solution will be on it.

Dishwasher: Green light flashes and will not turn on

Hi

Please press the following sequence to reset the washer "Heated dry" "Normal" Heated Dry" "Normal". This will reset the machine. Also try and locate the tech sheet in lower kickplate.

Please do accept this solution and revert for further assistance.

Whirlpool Gold flashing 'NORMAL' light, will not reset or work

Could be either the keypad is faulty or the control board is bad.

Light flashing

reset the dishwasher by touching heated dry and normal let it run through that cycle then through a normal cycle got the error blink again. Reset dishwasher by touching heated dry and normal, ran the test cycle, next ran a normal cycle but turned off the heated dry. This allowed the dishwasher to run through a complete cycle did not get the error blink and confirmed that the heating element was out.

When I had this problem, it turned out to be the heating element.

Normal cycle light flashing

If its the ormal led flashing that is normally caused by a stuck key ing the key pad. Might try unplugging and plugging back in but sounds like you need a new touchpad.

Whirlpool 24 in. DU1055XTP Built-in Dishwasher

I don't know if your dishwasher is the same as mine, but this solution may be what you need. For electronic panel dishwashers made by whirlpool (mine is a whirlpool but with a kenmore name on it), some of them can be reset by pushing in sequence the Heated-Dry button followed by the Normal-Wash button, several times in a row. that is... Push Heated-Dry, then Normal-Wash, Then Heated-Dry, then Normal-Wash... Repeat until all lights light up. When all lights light up you can stop. The washer will then take 5-10 minutes to go through a diagnostics cycle, which is about 18-25 steps or so. You can bypass one step at a time by pushing the STart button. This may not apply to your washer, but is pure gold if it does. Good Luck!
