SOURCE: Nordictrack motor will not run when start button is pushed.
Likely the cover of one of the motor brushes popped off. Unplug the machine before you pop it back in place, then try it again.
If that doesn't work, most likely it's the motor control board, or possibly the console, or finally just a loose connection behind the console.
But most likely, it's the motor brush cover. I've been seeing that alot with this model.

When in Demo Mode, the console will go through a repeating lighting pattern. This mode will only become active when the treadmill is plugged in, the main on/off switch is turned on, and the safety key is not inserted into the console. The Demo Mode was added to attract attention to the treadmill while it is on display. By default, all treadmills with Demo Mode will come with it turned on. Demo Mode can be turned off at any time. Method #1 to switch from the Demo Mode:Press and hold the STOP button while inserting the safety key to enter the user information mode. Look in the Calories window. When Demo Mode is active, the letter 'd' will appear. Press the SPEED DOWN button to toggle the mode on and off.
Once the mode is set as desired, remove the safety key.

Dear Sir:
1)Most probably you did short circuit.
2) Test the fuse or breaker inside.
3) Check if you breaker from your house or building is tripped, since there are No power Must be 90% that your breaker in your building is tripped.Re-started again.
4) Test again the treadmill, and will be working
Of course when you open for to see the fuse or breaker, see if there are something with smell to burn. If there are burn, you must to Test it.
Finally you must not used extension cords. Use directly to outlet with connection to ground +device for power transient+100% stabilizer of voltage.
