SOURCE: 03 Yukon denali park brake warning wont turn off

hi for info the brakes warning light on dash is also an indication that brake fluid level is low? or there may be a leak resulting in fluid level drop ? also considering age of car you may need to inspect brake pads wear ? if your car has low brake pads wear indicators attached to pads ? or the hand brake switch req's checking to ensure it is being pushed to off position when h/brak is down ? so fluid level low is the obviouse 1st check as fluid will displace from reservoir as pads wear low hence the level indicator on fill cap trips on may i suggest if it is low level b4 you top up? check your b/pads if you have not done so recently? or replaced since new ? hope this helps you locate problem best wishes from the uk

SOURCE: service brake booster display

Your brake booster is the heart of your power brakes. It runs off a vacuum from the intake to booster. Your brakes will still work as long as they have fluid. They'll just get stiff. It probably means you need a new one

SOURCE: no brake/hazard lights,have running/turn signal lights

Suggest you change hazard flasher 'can' first, then go to the hazard switch. I'm betting it's the flasher can.

SOURCE: trailer brake controller problem

I found the problem. Talking with a technician from the controller company, we determined that it was a fuse problem. I found that the fuse to the CHMSL was blown.

SOURCE: gmc yukon has the abs & parking brake light

you have to fix the problem with ur brakes- first check the wiring ,connectors and connection clips to the abs sensors and modulator if looks ok than have truck scanned some auto stores such as auto zone / advanced auto do it for free the code will give u a start point towards fixing ur problem--visual inspection of brakes doesnt always show problem

All trailer lights work on my travel trailer except there are no brake lights to trailer. The issue I can see is there is no power to the brakes at the 3:00 o'clock and 9:00 o'clock pins on my 2004 g

there will be only 1 power wire for the brake lights as they are connected .together. What you are looking at are the indicator lights (1 left wire and 1 right wire)

Have issues with trailer lights. Both turn signals on trailer flash when I use left or right turn signal. Have 7 pin factory plug. Lights on trailer work fine, hooked up to 97 Silverado. Act funny on 2000...

Standard wiring colors are as follows:

4-Way

5-Way

6-Way

7-Way

Green

Yellow

Brown

White

Red

Blue

Purple

Right Turn & Brake

Left Turn & Brake

Tail Lights

Ground

Backup Lights

Electric Brakes

Auxiliary Power
Green- Right Turn and Brake
Yellow- Left Turn and Brake
Brown- Tail Lights
White- Ground
Red- Reverse (Back Up) Lights
Blue- Electric Brakes
Purple- Auxiliary Power

It sounds like your green and yello wires are shorted together somewhere along the length of the harness. I would check the wires on the trailer first. Easier yet, if you have another trailer to connec or access to another to use for testing, connect to it and see if the problem repeats; if it does the trouble is in the vehicle's wiring.

2004 Chevy silverado 1500. Brake and turn ok on truck, but right brake voltage not getting to trailer plug. right turn signal works at trailer plug.

The flasher module sends voltage for the trailer brake and turn signal on the same circuit. If you have right turn signal than we now that the fuse and wiring are good which leaves the module.

Do you get the same result if you turn on the four way flasher?

The module is located under the drivers side of the dash. You will need to remove the trim panels to gain access.

I can give you more info if you need it.

No brake lights on 96 yukon

The brake fuse #1 is located inside the truck below the steering column. I am assuming you have verified there is 12v power at the fuse & thru the brake lamp switch (orange wire power in & white wire power out, when pedal depressed) at all times. After the brake lamp switch , power goes (white wire) to the Turn signal/hazard lamp switch & out (dark green wire-rt brake lamp & yellow left brake lamp)

2003 denali trailer wiring

If your signals & brakes are on 2 different circuits, ( for example a red lens for stop & an Amber for turn.) then you'll need to buy a converter that goes between vehicle & trailer. They're not too expensive at any trailer or RV place. I think some of the autoparts stores stock them now too.
