Is it bogging down, or just stops revving at the point...first check the throttle cable, twist it wide open and make sure it's opening all the way...after awhile they tend to stretch and that won't allow you full power....i hope this helps.
Simple solution your weed-eater has a Walbro carb buy a rebuild kit and rebuild the carb and it will run like new, don't touch any screw settings on the carb. You can purchase from your local repair center just give them the number on your carb and they will give you the correct kit. Go to smalleng.com they have a video on just this issue. Good Luck.. Don't forget thumbs and feedback.
find item 9. It is a hall effect sensor which measures the speed of the motor and feeds back that info to the controller - if it is open or shorted the motor will not be controlled and will either not run at all or run wide open.
close to the carb you will find two tiny screws. They are labeled H and L. L sets the idle speed. H sets the max RPM. Hold the throttle wide open and turn the H screw. When you find the very top end, back it down some or it will be running too lean. That would make it run hot, and provides less lubrication. Could result in engine failure if you run it too lean.
you need to make sure there is not a fuel restriction first check the fuel filter, then the lines. If these seem ok then adjust the High speed rpm, there should be two adjusters one for High speed one for low speed(when the throttle is fully engaged.Do small adjustments at a time.
Check the air and the gas filtetrs.Change the plug with a new one with the same heat range.Adjust the carb H and L.
High speed H=2 turns and low speed L=2 1/2 turns
