Its possible your set screw has come out. If you can find the holes to line it up Just keep turning the handle till you see a hole on the inside and get a screw to go into it. Really not sure if this will repair it without seeing it.You may need a bright flash light to see this. If there is still a screw in the handle its possible it may have broken off and needs removing to find the hole on the inside.

yes very common, have you hit a rock as some stage or maybe it is wearing out but as soon as some pressure goes on the prop the shaft will spin normally but the prop is now no longer held to the shaft correctly hence your problem. Check it by marking the prop and shaft with a straight line then put it in the water, take out and check your mark they probably wont line up anymore. Solution...get a new prop. I have a different way to get these fixed but it is not recommended I drill a self tapping screw into my props just until it hits the drive shaft then stop just enough pressure to keep to stuck to the drive shaft

Sounds as if the motor has either bearings going bad and/or water has gotten in the housing washed the lubricants out. Motors do wear out eventually. I'm not sure if the brushes are replacible. Have you checked for any constrictions like fishing line? And also the contacts on the controller could have minor corrosion meaning take it apart if possible and clean with steel wool or a dremel.

call the 800 number for minn kota on the motor. they will be able to tell you the best way to remove it on that particular motor. they have a very good tech support system at that company.

To start with, here's a schematic:

Sounds like key# 87 broke....seen it before.
To replace it, remove top cover, then remove the handle portion by removing the 5 screws underneath. There are a few peices in there, so keep close watch. Also be careful of the fine ribbon wire attaching the handle to the control board...it's pretty fragile.

check for a short in the wire. make sure that positive and negative are right, if unit was working before old battery went bad.are batteries run in series or are they separate. if they are in series make sure they are installed correctly.
