Sounds like there is a piece of paper stuck in the machine somewhere. Maybe a sensor arm has been pulled out of location. Let me know.

pretty much the same, the codes are good for several models not just one.
you need to find the other numbers to know exactly which code it is, press the start or stop key to see it display the other #'s.
fuser is on the left side if you replace the parts might as well replace the claws and oil roller.

Hey Judy,
Please see the following link for the manual: Canon NP 6050 Manual
SOURCE: looking for a copy of a service manual for canon
You would be better off spending the money on a different machine than buying a manual. canon did not produce those machines for very long. they are horrible. we have 2 left in the field and i will be glad when those 2 are gone.

I believe a E02 deals with the scanner. Your copier is very old. It has been a long time scine I've worked on one. Have you checked that the exposure lamp has continuiy? If so, you may have a blown thermal fuse for the scanning lamp. Also, dose the scanning lamp turn "ON"? You may have a broken scanner lamp power cable. You should be able to order the parts on line.. Good Luck...
