Did you install the HP full software for your OS? This feature is not available unless the software is installed. See
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=1153481& to find the software. Select your OS version from the drop-down menu and click Next. Expand the section labeled Driver - Product Installation Software. If you are using the USB cable, you may have installed the OS drivers. In that case, you need to uninstall the printer and then remove the data cable before installing the HP software. For Windows, go to the Hardware and Printers Control Panel, click on the printer and Remove Device at the top (or right click and choose Remove Device).
With the correct software installed, launch the HP Solution Center. (The name may be slightly different for the Mac OSX.) Then go to the Toolbox. That section has all of the tools you wanted. If you have a problem with this, you may need to uninstall the HP software and reinstall.
Launching the Control Panel in Windows depends on your OS. For XP-Windows 7, click Start > Control Panel (or directly to Devices and Printers). From the Control Panel, go to the Hardware and Sound section and select Devices and Printers. With Windows 8, access the Charms menu from the Desktop and go to Settings, then select the Control Panel. (The keyboard shortcut Win+X will let you select the Control Panel more easily. Then follow the above steps for locating the Printers section.)
You can similarly uninstall software from the Programs section of the Control Panel.
I hope this helps.
