I want to change my e-mail address but do not have my old password. My old e-mail address was [email protected]

What do I have to do to change to my e-mail address and new password I would appreciate your help since I moved and lost my original password. Thank you.

You need to call your hosting site and ask them to either reset your password or send it to you. With proper identification, most hosting sites will do this for you if your are owner of the domain.

-If you accidentally navigate back to the new Facebook just re-click the second link. (save it somewhere)

Hi.

The following tip applies to users that want to access Verizon mail using an e-mail managing software as for example Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and similar.

The checkup procedure and server settings can also be used to setup your verizon email on a mobile or on a PDA.

If the Verizon server responded: Authentication failed, that means that either your ID, or your password had not been recognized.

Ensure that Caps Lock is not on.
ID and password are case sensitive, ensure that you use capitals only if needed.

Ensure that you entered the right user ID and password for your mail.

The ID must be your Verizon email address, or the first part of the Verizon email address (before @ sign). Password must be your Verizon email password.

If for example the address is [email protected] , then try first putting id [email protected] , if that does not work, try again with MyMail as ID.
The format that is supposed to work on Verizon is [email protected].


Ensure that the server settings you are using are correct:

1. Incoming mail server (POP3) - incoming.verizon.net.
2. Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - outgoing.verizon.net.


Ensure that you have not set the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)
Ensure that ports are POP3 PORT: 110. SMTP PORT: 25

Turn off any active firewall or security software. Also ensure that your router is not blocking port 110 (for POP server) or port 25 (for SMTP).

If all that does not work, then there may be an issue that depends on Verizon server. Also try calling Verizon online to find out if there is any additional issue that can affect your account.

Verizon email account setup on my iPhone
Try this on the iPhone:

Incoming settings:
POP Account Information:
Name: The name you want in the header when you send mail
Address: Your full email address-e.g., [email protected]
Description: anything you want (This will be the name in the list of mail accounts)

Incoming Mail Server:
Host Name: incoming.verizon.net
User Name: the first part of your email address-e.g., My.Address
Password: Your password to Verizon netmail or your desktop mail client

Advanced:
Incoming Settings
Use SSL: Off
Authentication: Password
Delete from Server: your preference
Server Port:110

Since our switch to FIOS we are unable to email from the machine. The log says "invalid from address" but this didn't change during the conversion. Any thoughts?
You probably are using a POP3 mail client like outlook or incredimail or the like.
You'll need to change the profile IN that mail client. Relatively simple to do. The information is INCOMING.VERIZON.NET and OUTGOING.VERIZON.NET.
If you had DSL service with them previously then it may be that your screenname was NOT scrubbed across into the FIOS network. In this case you'll need to contact the tech support people (good luck) and ask them to scrub your old id across.
To check to see if the s/n (screenname) was deleted. Go to verizon.net and attempt to login there. If your e-mail pops up then your s/n exists and it's merely the pop3 mail client settings that are botched.
