Hi.

The following tip applies to users that want to access Verizon mail using an e-mail managing software as for example Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and similar.

The checkup procedure and server settings can also be used to setup your verizon email on a mobile or on a PDA.

If the Verizon server responded: Authentication failed, that means that either your ID, or your password had not been recognized.

Ensure that Caps Lock is not on.
ID and password are case sensitive, ensure that you use capitals only if needed.

Ensure that you entered the right user ID and password for your mail.

The ID must be your Verizon email address, or the first part of the Verizon email address (before @ sign). Password must be your Verizon email password.

If for example the address is [email protected] , then try first putting id [email protected] , if that does not work, try again with MyMail as ID.
The format that is supposed to work on Verizon is [email protected].

Ensure that the server settings you are using are correct:

1. Incoming mail server (POP3) - incoming.verizon.net.
2. Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - outgoing.verizon.net.

Ensure that you have not set the Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)
Ensure that ports are POP3 PORT: 110. SMTP PORT: 25

Turn off any active firewall or security software. Also ensure that your router is not blocking port 110 (for POP server) or port 25 (for SMTP).

If all that does not work, then there may be an issue that depends on Verizon server. Also try calling Verizon online to find out if there is any additional issue that can affect your account.

Outlook 2007 Address Book Corrupt

To resolve this issue, remove and reinstall the Outlook Address Book. To do this:

Start Outlook.
On the Tools menu, click E-mail Accounts.
Click View or change existing directories oraddress books, and then click Next.
Click Outlook Address Book, and then click Remove.
Click Yes when you receive the prompt to confirm the removal.
Click Add.
Click Additional Address Books, and then click Next.
Click Outlook Address Book, and then click Next.
Click OK when you receive the message to restart Outlook.
Click Finish.
Click Exit on the File menu to quit Outlook.
Restart Outlook.
In the Folder list, right-click the folder that you want touse with the Address Book (for example, right-click Contacts), and then click Properties.
Click the Outlook Address Book tab.
Click to select the Show this folder as an e-mailAddress Book check box (if it is not already selected), and then click OK

How do i share my calender

In Calendar, in the Navigation Pane (Navigation Pane: The column on the left side of the Outlook window that includes panes such as Shortcuts or Mail and the shortcuts or folders within each pane. Click a folder to show the items in the folder.), click Share My Calendar.

Do one of the following:

How to recover Exchange 2007/Outlook 2010 Address Book list

Yes the contacts were all in All Contacts through the emc but not in outlook. I think I figured out how to fix this by using powershell to hide all the contacts from the exchange address list and then turn them all back on. Syntax I used is below: get-mailcontact -resultsize unlimited ' set-mailcontact -hiddenfromaddresslistsenabled $true and then when done get-mailcontact -resultsize unlimited ' set-mailcontact -hiddenfromaddresslistsenabled $false Solution was very simple, getting to it was painful! Also: Recovery ToolBox for Address Book is a great way to retrieve contacts from corrupted Windows Address Books (files with *.wab extension). These files are used by Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express email clients. The loss of such documents means, that all business and personal contacts (email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses and other information) will be lost, too. This program gives you a chance for the successful recovery of all contact information, stored in wab files, without the assistance of 3rd party services. Outlook emails are blank

Hi,

What version of Outlook? Unless I hear otherwise, I'll assume you're running
Outlook 2007.

I'm not sure I completely understand what you mean. On a "common" setup,
going from left to right; you have your Navigation Pane, Message List, and
then the Reading Pane (Preview Pane).

What I'm getting out of this is: Your messages are all showing-up in the
Message List. However, you can't see the actual body of the message in the
Reading Pane. When you open the message, you still can't see the actual body
of the message.

Do I have this right? Or, are you saying there is some Window popping-up
behind the main Outlook Window and the message Windows when you open a
message? If so, what is that Window titled? Is there an error or something
on that Window?

If the issue is the message body is no longer displaying in the Reading Pane
or when you open a message, I need to ask if you're using some type of
anti-virus scanner that is hooking into e-mail. I believe AVG is the popular
culprit. There is a "Certify Mail" option in AVG we want to disable.

If there is no AV scanner in-play here (AVG or otherwise), open one of these
Now, select the Options tab above the Ribbon. What format is highlighted
here? Plain Text, HTML, or Rich Text? If it's either of the latter two
formats, try selecting Plain Text (Select Continue on the warning box). Can
you see the body of the message now?

Pdf preview handler error when trying to open,

Microsoft Office does not support PDF files by itself. This has to be an issue with the program that you are using to view PDF files.
My suggestion would be to do download FoxIt PDF Reader from http://www.foxitsoftware.com/products/reader/ and try that, it's what I use, and it's FAR more secure than Adobe's PDF Reader.
They also have a pro version, which is much less expensive than Adobe PDF.

Copy your outlook Icons to desktop and you are able to open these programs direct vfrom your desktop.
Right click on the Icon - copy etc - place the Icon on your desktop via "insert"
