Pfaff creative vision, the needle keeps dropping out during sewing. The locking screw is as tight as it can get, but the needle is still able to be pulled out.

How can I fix the lock screw so it will hold the needle properly?

Take it to your pfaff dealer. The needle clamp may be worn from over tightening the screw.

SOURCE: Pfaff Creative Vision embroidery/sewing machine says motor overload then shuts down

I had the same problem and it was my power supply. I've had more than my share of problems with this machine and it's only 3.5 years old. Good luck.

My Pfaff 1471 keeps spinning when I'm winding bobbin. It won't lock needle from going up and down

You probably didn't disengage the sewing machine mechanism. Hold the hand wheel steady so that it will not move with one hand. Use your other hand to rotate the knob in the center of the hand wheel towards you. When the unit is properly disengaged, the motor can't move the needle bar. When done winding the bobbin, you need to hold the hand wheel and then turn the knob away from you. See page 9 of the manual for the Creative 1471. Pfaff has the manual on the product page: http://www.pfaff.com/en-US/Machines/creative-1471 . The current link to the manual is http://www.pfaff.com/SiteMedia/PFAFF/Products/Machines/Support-manuals/creative1471-manual-EN.pdf .

I hope this helps.

HOW TO ADJUST my needle threader on my Pfaff Creative Visions 5.5 sewing machine

If the tiny hook on the needle threader misses the eye of the needle, it needs a careful adjustment to align it. I do mine by using a magnifying lamp to aid viewing the mechanism, then holding the needle threader down level with the eye, gently manipulate the hook until it is able to move into the eye., usually a tiny amount either side. If it needs adjustment vertically, then it needs the small screw carefully undoing a little, until the threader can be moved slightly up, or down.

Keep getting check upper thread message

You have left threads in the thread path that you can't see or get to without a technical knowledge of the necessary "cleaning process"
Go and see your machine repair man who can show you how to get to the problems areas without messing up the mechanicals even more.

My thread keeps breaking every time I start sewing on my pfaff 4.0 sewing machine. O have changed the thread two times. re threaded the needle six times and ensured the needle was in the correct location....

The top thread breaks

1. the needle thread is not threaded properly

2. The needle thread tension is to tight

3. The needle is bent or blunt

4. The needle is incorrectly inserted

5. The needle thread & the bobbin thread are not set under the presser foot when starting to sew

6. the threads were not drawn to the rear after sewing

7. The thread is either to heavy or to fine for the needle

8. Try a different spool or cone of thread

Bobbin thread breaks

1. There is a right way & wrong way to insert the bobbin in the case --when you insert the bobbin in if it doesn't stitch correctly turn the bobbin over see if that helps or bobbin case is not inserted correctly

2. Lint has collected in the bobbin holder

3. The bobbin is damaged & doesn't turn smoothly

4. Lower thread tension is two tight

Needle keeps falling out of my overlocker hobbylock 774 by pfaff

The threads inside the screw hole are probably stripped. If so you will need to have them rethreaded and a different screw used or have the needle bar changed. For this you should see a technician.
