There is a fuse in the the base plate that has blown. It is soldered in and is special fuse you won't find at Radio Shack. Unfortunatly it needs to be fixed by a Pfaff dealer on someone with access to the fuse. If you have the work done, make sure they replace a certain reisitor on the base plate at the same time to prevent this from happening again (per Paff).

lower your needle. If up to high can't catch the bobbin thread.

Be sure to use a brand new needle because a bent needle could miss the bobbin thread.Search the internet for sites and videos relating to sewing machine timing or take it for service.

Try cleaning out the bobbin case area. Lint build up will affect the bobbin thread sensor

I would check for thread wrapped around the bobbin holder again. If it is a recurring problem, then there is another problem causing it. Take it back to your servicer and ask them to look deeper for the real issue.
