I have tried endlessly to fix this problem, if i place cursor over the speaker it has a red cross and says 'no output audio device, i have run many troubleshooters and they say could not be fixed, if i open device manager its not there anymore, ive been on zoostorm but no joy.....anyone help?
Here's a link to the download page for Realtek Audio drivers. I have installed many audio drivers, and this realtek has never failed me yet. I'd suggest you try it. Good luck.

Hey,
Remove any drivers you have installed for it right now. Then go to this page and download and install the correct driver. Be sure to follow the installation instructions:
Drivers Download
Open Audio Devices and Sound Themes by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Hardware and Sound, and then clicking Sound.
Click the Playback tab, click Speakers, and then click Properties.
Click the Levels tab, and then, under Line In, click the Mute button to enable sound for the line-in connection.
